    Zymol Ital (old formula)
    Cost: $100CDN

Applications size: well its an8oz jar. I would say 25applications per jar

Price per application: $4 so no to bad

Manufactures description (taken from ZDOCN): Italian cars have very special needs when waxing. Ital Glaze is specially formulated to protect and enhance the relatively soft paint finish of the Italian car. Developed in cooperation with Ferrari North America, Ferrari Italy and Pininfarina, Ital Glaze provides a clarity and depth of color generally not found in the original paintwork. Suitable for all paint types and colors. Ital Glaze contains 47% Brazilian No.1 Yellow and White Carnauba by volume (90% Yellow, 10% White).

Look: it’s a cool red jar, its better then the new ones. Its thicker and has a clicking lid. So much nicer then they use now
The wax was a light yellow paste wax, nothing mind blowing

    Smell: I don’t remember, coconut I think
Texture: this was the smoothest Zymol I have used to date. No lumps, no bumps just smooth wax. It was a dream

    1. Manufactures Directions (from ZDOCN): Put a very small amount of the glaze into the palm of your hand. Use the warmth of your hands by rubbing them together, to melt the Carnauba. With your hands, gently apply the melted glaze in a light, even pattern over no more than 3 or 4 square feet of painted surface.

    2. Let Ital stand for 30 - 60 seconds.

    3. Using moderate to heavy pressure, wipe very slowly with a Zymöl Microwipe (folded once) to a brilliant luster before the wax is totally dry.
    4. Buff lightly once more approximately 3 - 4 hours later to perfect the shine

How I used: I HD-cleanse pro’d the whole car. This make the paint look and feel great. I then took a small about of wax and melted it between my hands (wow was it ever smooth). I gently applied it to one section at a time. After I was done I removed the wax.
It was very easy to work with. It was easy to apply and even easier to remove,
After an hour I went back and field glazed the car to get rid of the sweating, Worked like a charm.

Looks: this wax looked awsome on the yellow vette. It was deep, dark and had an awesome gloss. It was nice stepping back and looking at the car. I really really really like this wax. I like it as much as concours. (although I have only used ital on one car). I liked it so much I will eventually spend the money and get the new ital.

Thoughts: this wax was great, it was the easier estate glaze I have used to date. It was not hard to work with, gave great results. I really liked it. I may even go back and pick up a tub or two more.
If you could find a person to order it from a site that has the old ital I would snatch it up. It’s a great wax and for 100 bucks you cannot go wrong.

    Pics to come…

I'll add a few comments about this product as well. It wipes off the easiest of all of the Zymol products i've used to date, and as Mike mentioned, its EXTREMELY soft. It's like snow melting in your hands almost, but it turns to butter!!! Great wax to work with.

Did you let it stand for more than 1 min? If so it it get increasingly hard to wipe off as the time went on? I found that the Glasiur was the easiest to use for me, never tried the Ital though.

I did not let is stand for a minute... 45 seconds at its longest. Ihave worked with a few zymols and they suck if you lets them sit.. they become such a pita

and I have nevr actully tried Glasur so I cannot comment on it

Calgary how do u compare vintage to ital?

I use the Ital quite a bit at work.. The majority of the cars get that treatment. I found in my shop I'll apply it to a few panels then go back and remove it, and that cleans up the best for me. If I go to wipe it off right away, I've found it hasn't cured quite enough, and if I do the whole car (which I've also tried) it's dried way too much, and becomes very difficult to remove. So I do about 1/4 of the car at a time, then wipe clean, move onto the next quarter.

When it comes to the differences between the old and new, I've heard that there don't seem to be enough improvements in the wax itself to necessarily warrant the drastic price increase.. That's just what I've heard though..

    :bs: :bs: :bs:

There how's that for honest hahahahaha just teasing Calgary.

Actually to be honest I used to think your reviews were a bit too informative but now that I'm doing some reviews my self I find your reviews to be very good and like Motor said they keep gettin better...I too feel this one was well done...not exactly sure what you did different but it just comes accross different...well it helps that I was right there beside you when you were using the product hahahahahaa..

Seriously though great review and me doing the removing I'm a witness as to how easy it is to remove if you let it sit for a bit..not to long just enough to cure like exoticGuy said.

Thank you for taking the time to do the write up :thumb:

The is a BIG difference going from Ital to Vintage. The optics are a lot different, its very very hard to explain. Vintage gives the paint a warmth, a certain pop that no other wax I've seen will do whereas Ital gives the paint a nice gloss, and some a nice depth.. Just my .01c

Ital to vintage hmm.. as divine said, there is a diffrence. Umm Vintage is more clear. It shows the quilties of the paint (good or bad better) and gives a more alive look... the paint looks warm and glowing with both, but more so with vintage.

They are very diffrent waxes, both have there pluses. I think vintage looks better, esp when you have 2 or three coats, although i dont know what ital looks like with 2 or 3 coats... umm both are nice waxes, vintage is diffrent....

I did oe esction at a time, Perhaps I will try doing a 1/4 of the car. I have lots to play with :D
I have heard the new ital is more clear. The white nuba and nuba sap suppsodly make the wax have a cleaner, clearer look.
As fo if it jusfiys the prie, well like naything it all depends.
i think a few months down the road I will find out for myself
haha yeah nice of you to watch :p:

ohh do you have the pics uploaded yet? i want to post them to show the world....

haha to informative eh to be honest I thikn i was trying to hard when i first started, I wanted the best and only the best. (which i still do) and that made them over done, and pertensious. I tink i have since calmed down and just let them flow. I do not try as hard to find info. i write what I think... i personaly feel it makes it more relaxd and better to read... just my opion :bla2:
