hey guys, Well the cars were dirty from the usual winter grime (salt, sludge, mud, road grime, etc...). So I wanted to get it cleaned before I left for my vacation. I'm leaving in about 6 hours so I have some time to kill. I bought this bottle of ONR and 2 grit guards from a local online shop icanpolish.com and a site sponsor on a local car site. I just wanted to quickly try the ONR and see what the fuss was about. I tried it on my dads toyota matrix, I chose to try it on his car because the paint is really bad already so what do I have to lose? I'm planning on polishing it during the spring when I get some more supplies. It's hard to tell if the surface was marred, but imo I probably have a little bit because I only used the 1 bucket method with a grit guard and I don't have any quality microfibers. On to the review:applause2:: I used it diluted to the suggested ratio of 2 capfuls for every 2 gallons. For the wash procedure I used only one bucket with grit guard and a sponge, followed by two microfibers to dry. I first did one panel to see how it works, and almost immediately the dirt is emulsified from the surface. I guess the way it works is the ONR when applied emulsifies the dirt and as it drips down, down goes the dirt + ONR. So when you dry the panel, it's just the leftover ONR or water you are drying. The matrix was extremely dirty so I was amazed by how well it worked. I don't have any good pictures as it was freezing because my garage isn't heated and it was snowing out. I'll get some better pictures when I do my sisters car as well as my moms. For this product, I would definitely read up on it before you use it. I really like this product and am surprised by how well rounded it is. It can be used for washing the cars, claying, doing rims, engine, anything almost even interiors. I would really recommend it to everybody to try it out! If you like it now, wait till you have about 4-5 washes under your belt and try it as a QD and Clay Lube. It is the most versatile and economical product I use.
Yeah it's imo one of the most versatile products out there. After I'm done with my bottle, I'll probably pick up a 3L jug of it and use it during the summer months to. I really like how environmentally friendly it is as well. Brendan
ONR is definitely a staple in my arsenal. I just ordered a gallon myself after ordering a couple quarts. Like everyone said, get some ONR washes under your belt and you'll be doing ONR washes in 30 minutes or less.
