As long as you are "ok" with it and can get it taken care of for cheap. Other than that, I would have walked out without paying. (my woman turned me into a dick when it comes to crappy service/customer service)
I had an 03 Evo, rolled the fenders myself, and it turned out fine. To do it right takes time, time, time hence the waves in that fender- frustration waves! Paint the inner fender with 3M undercoating or something to keep that surface protected.
poop. poop job. and poop im sorry to see that you have to live with a poop job. imo, most aftermarket installers / companies need to step it up.
I thought the same thing when I saw the pictures. I had the fenders rolled on my 04 GTO and the shop that did it in Cleveland did great work. They had to cut the inner lip but everything was resprayed inside the wheel well.
I agree..... every shop should stand by their work. If they lack competency, they should never undertake a task, no matter how small. Those fenders don't look like they've had bondo under the paint so assuming that it was the original factory fender, they should not have cracked like that if the work performed was done by a specialist. I feel bad for you man, but take this away as a lesson. Don't do business with someone who doesn't back up what they do.
That's what I did on my GTO. I just cut, and resprayed. I would be taking this shop to small claims court.
wow thats horrible. id be leaving horrible reviews on yelp or how ever you found out about this shop.
I have a ton of friends in the slammed VW scene and this is just horrible. Contact them and try to get this all sorted out; if nothing works keep posting it up on local forums and get the news out. Good references are worth their weight in gold - but bad references can quickly shut someone up.
Cutting evo fenders is a big no no. This is horrible I feel for you. You should post this up in the evo forums get the word out so this shop can't destroy another car
