Horrible, but you get what you pay for. I bet this happens all day long, all over the world...

The way I see it, if you are shopping around and everyone is telling you hundreds of dollars for a polish and you go with the coupon guy who is going to a two or three stage correction in 3 hours for $150, you get what you deserve. You can't fix stupid.

if you are using groupon for anything less then trying out a new restaurant or a cup of coffee, you are setting yourself up for failure.......

Groupon is a crock of shit if you ask me....

Holy Hell those pics on page 3 are nasty. That kinda work is what makes other doubt the work of a good detailer.

Maybe I missed it in the thread, but why on earth would you ever LEAVE the place where the vehicle was detailed if it was in that sort of a state?

exactly, I would have left the car, called my insurance company and filed a claim as im standing there in the shop.

Most people do not know, but your insurance will cover damaged caused by detailers who suck.

This is typical hack work you'd get from "bargain detailers" as I like to call them.

About a month ago I had a customer in to get a two step polish on his vehicle as it was covered in swirls. He called me about a month after and asked if it was ok to get his car washed at a local high volume car wash / detailer for $10. I told him to avoid the car wash at all costs and to just drop it off at my house for a slightly higher price. He refused and decided to just bring it to the car wash. The very next day he brought the car to my place covered in marring and brush marks and I had to do a second paint correction.

Moral of the story is that you ALWAYS get what you pay for.

    Yikes is right.
I would never offer something through groupon for myself. You work for %25 of normal charges.

I think its funny someone would use a groupon to have a car detailed, but not one to have their car painted....LOL

Never mind the quality, think about the price...paying a discounted price (50%+) you'll get only what you pay for

I find these "deals" make us look bad as people choose price over quality work, but in this case OP had it coming to him. Did he verify there work? Portfolio? This made me upset that I had to post this in a Euro forum I'm on...lol.
