The gas attendant did his thing and he dragged it across my paint aswell. I now have huge line of multiple scratches on the clearcoat from him dragging the dirt along the bottom my rear windshield. Why do it when I didn't ask for it arghhhhh. Pictures later... I be real heart broken until spring comes
Oh boy, Richmond so fail with its full serve gas stations. Regardless, I fill up myself since they just unscrew the gas cap and let the cap cling*! and hang against the paint. They've never come to wash my windows if I'm filling on my own. Hope the damage wasn't too bad and fill up on your own from now on even if it is freezing out
People simply have no respect for other's property. Can you polish it out? I'm in the only state in the lower 48 w/ full serve, so I cringe whenever the attendant gets near my car. You should've polished his face with your knuckles. J/K Sometimes I feel like doing that though. LOL
yup I hate filling gas in richmond, and if I do I'd always tell them I'll do it myself I wonder how bad it is for people in Oregon, because apparently when I was down there all of the attendants said they have to do it for you and it's against the law to fill your own gas in Oregon lol
It's fixable but ugh it hurts. I usually do fill up myself up on oak but today I kinda felt slow and bang the attendant did it. Tomorrow I'll see weather and maybe fix it up.
Ohhh. I thought NJ was the only place it was illegal to pump your own gas... I guess we're not the only state with swirly gas cap doors .
Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that this is true. Whether its this, or someone slamming their door against your car in the parking lot, most people just don't care.
Well at least the parking spots are wider here in NA than Hong Kong. One of the family car got dinged within a week of purchase cuz of how tight spots are in HK. Not to mention the amount of industrial fallout we have back there LOL. One good thing about the Mercedes gas cap tie is that its actually not that long and they have a proper slot for it that people would actually slip it into.
This makes me glad that I live in a state where we pump our own gas. Still though...parking at high school isn't easy on a car either. Example: had I stuck around after school yesterday, there would be police officers and drug dogs around my car, as some students were found with drugs and paraphernalia in their car parked only a few spaces away.
I live in NJ. I get out open the gas door and filler for them wait there for gas to fill up then I remove the gas nozzle for them. tighten my gas cap tip and leave
You mean the drug addicts @ your school don't care about your car paint? or anything for that matter? Sometimes they are busy trying to pry my fuel door open...I hate that!
Actually mine has broken off due to poor design at the hinge, no need to cut lol. Ironically with it broken they still don't bother sticking it in the slot made for the gas cap built behind the gas cover. One time the guy just put it on the trunk, I had enough, I was filling on my own forever. If they refuse to let me I will just drive to another gas station, but they never seem to mind. The greatest feeling coming back to a parking lot is seeing both cars that parked beside you are still the same!
It's not so much that, for the most part they leave other cars alone. I would be more worried about all the activity around the cars...police with handcuffs and varying other things on their belts, drug dogs sniffing things out...honestly though I'm glad it happened though, I'm tired of how many drug addicts we have
Yeah yeah I know Well usually the kid with the 1 series or the kid with the Mustang GT500 replica park next to me (I park on an end space usually) so I don't worry about damage to my car. I could park really far away from everyone but then I get near the big lights for the football field and my car would get plastered with crap from the birds that live up there. I hate our parking lot.
