Hi, what tools and products you would recommend for your glass to do a quick and decent job. I only use AG fast glass and glass polish with mf cloth. The problem is sometimes my mf cloths tend to leave behind tiny cotton from wear and tear which makes my job a little more troublesome.
I am a big fan of applieing 1z glass polish by hand or by machine.. the look after is awesome.. a ton of gloss and crystal clear.. i then go over it with SV crystal... and go buy some CG towels or some towels from Phil at DetailersDomain.com Phil has some great deal still on whcich is buy one get one.. his glass waffle weave towels rock.. i have the blue banded ones and they are phenominal.. they soak up a tone of water as well as the cg baby blue.. i really love both equally.. also the lusso glass polish which is more like a great cleaner that looks like windex but definitely is not.. it can be diluted.. and it is awesome both diluted and full strength for tough jobs.. i just love the full strength though i keep both on hand.. also claying will help with either qd like adam's or lube like cg lube as i really HATE claying with soap and water. SV paint rubber is an awesome clay but so is the ubar cllay or the cg blue clay. next i really think #1 is you need to buy some micro restore detergent and wash all you microfiber a second time alone, WITHOUT ANY cotton towels.. and do an extra rinse.. and be careful b/c that stuff is potent. i wash all my towels twice and with a sencond rinse.. the MF holds up extremely well and i do not have any left over residue that streaks. a great stash of MF is key..you can never have too much IMO.. i LOVE it
I use 1Z glass polish, DD glass towels (awesome awesome) and megs glass cleaner. Also, for water repellancy, Aquapel is the best!!
I use AG Fast Glass with WW Microfibres and AG Glass Polish with PB Mega Deluxe. As PURPLEWIDOW said, make sure you wash your MF with a detergent like Restore and don't mix them with anything else when you wash them.
I use 1Z glass polish or Invisable Glass W/ MF towels and I go over with FK-425 W/MF towels...:shrug:
Thanks for all the tips! I din know that there is a different kind of detergent for MF, all along i am using the normal detegent for clothes. I am wondering how effective Restore is compared to those clothes detergent as it cost much more. Seems not economical as MF aint that expensive afterall. As long as it is MF cloths, you can mixed it together regardless of whether it is used to buff away polish residue, wax, glass or interior dirt? What cleaning habit do you all have?
The short answer is Buy a gallon of Micro-Restore from DD 22.00 Cheapest around... Never use more than recommended. You will be up to your ass in sudes if you do... Never use fabric softener or bleach in the washing machine... Never use dryer sheets or hi heat. When drying MF/towels ( I always hang mine to dry) Always separate polishing/waxing MF From cleaning MF and do seperate loads... It is very economical to use MR. You only use 1 to 2 onces at a time. The differece of clean is like night and day and MR cleans the fiber not just washes the towel. baby butt soft. Myself and alot of detailers use white distilled vinagar in the rinse cycle to get the rest of the soap out of the fibers of the MF towels. This is another chapter. You are better off not trying this until you have gotten used to the MR wash it self. it is very different than laundry saop... These are just a few hints on what and what not to do. You really should try this, You will say, Why haven't I done this before...Honest...Good luck
What everyone else has said. Once a year (it's about that time now), I use 1Z Glas Polish, apply by hand, then use a PC and glass polishing pad to remove the haze. Gotta lube up the pad with distilled water though.
