It seems like most the time I am detailing I just let the Ipod shuffle. But I do find myself playing a select few albums while in the garage. What do you guys listen to? I mostly listen to podcasts. In fact, I was just listening to NPR's "This American Life" while working on a beautiful red M5. The whole freaking interior on this thing is made of leather, it's nuts!
I really like NPR, especially fresh air I find my self going home after work and listening to those podcasts again! Yesterday they had Seth Rogen on, and earlier this week they had Jenna Fischer and Rainn Wilson from the office.
I listen to a little bit of everything. I have a Mirage OmniVibe in my garage that puts out pretty good sound and I have a 80GB ipod loaded with about 30GB of tunes. I find myself usually cranking out some Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Motley Crue, Soundgarden, Beastie Boys, Johnny Cash, Gravity Kills, Prodigy, NIN, etc. Like I said, a little bit of everything. Buddy, that's a nice one about the Makita. I currently have a Flex 3403 & 3401, but considering picking up a Makita used or something for the lower starting RPMs.
My favorite Kings of Leon song is Ragoo. For me when detailing I like anything that puts me in a good mood, im very serious when I detail, sometimes I'll get moody if I working against the clock so some feel good tunes calm me down.
Thank you, I really think that the Makita Is more veratile than people relize. There are products now a days that are just made for DA's. For example Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion Is not to be used with a rotary. If you keep the rpm's 6 to 8 hundred. the results are pissa. I really don't like going balls to the wall all the time either. I agree with what 911Fanatic says You can get most of your correction done between 1000 and 1200 rpm's. It's just my opinion but It works good for me. You are in a good situation with your Flexes. I haven't had a chance to try one yet but I would like to.
I like more modern hard rock like Breaking Benjamin and Chevelle but I like some older stuff like Bush and Metallica and all that good stuff.
I like Country music for the most part..however have been into some nickelback, avenged sevenfold, and Hinder here lately...fav. band is Cross Canadian Ragweed..anyone ever heard their stuff? They are awesome
