I'm sure we've all heard about Superwaxes, like Crystal Rock and Supernatural but what are some other superwaxes? ultra premium limited edition super expensive high performing stuff like that? the ones I'm aware of are

    Swissvax Divine
    Swissvax Crystal Rock
    Dodo Juice Supernatural
Zymol Solaris Glaze <-- 45 grand?? holy S**T!!:yikes:
    Zymol estate stuff...

how do these waxes compare to each other for the people who have used them? stuff like that?

What standard(s) are you using to define a "superwax"? If price is the determining factor, there are many other waxes which fall between Dodo Juice Supernatural and Swissvax Crystal Rock price range (i.e., Swissvax Smaragd, Swissvax Concourso, Swissvax Mystery, etc.).

And let's not forget to include among the super-performing waxes Collinite 915 ... It may not cost $2,000 a tin, but it is certainly super-performing! (See Dave McLean's write up of the Great Wax Test.)

Waxes are very subjective and I agree when using the term "Superwaxes" one can't help but notice the price tag associated with the waxes.

These are the waxes I own and use on a regular basis on my own vehicles (high end waxes that is):

    Swissvax:
    - Divine
    - Crystal Rock

    Zymol:
    - Vintage
    - Destiny
    - Atlantique

My personal opinion, they each have there strenghts...but as far as looks go, I tend to lean to Zymol. I just love that carnauba glow that Zymol has. I really like Crystal Rock, I prefer Crystal Rock over Divine....but that's just my opinion.

I'd like to try Divine and Vintage. I wish I could afford them.

I honestly would not consider Dodo SN a "superwax" It is a decent but mediocre wax in my books. I would rather go with RBOE over SN.

I don't know, the only super wax that I know of is the one that lasts years... which doesn't exist. I guess you what you really mean is SuperExpensiveWaxes? :shead:

I think DaveKG's wax looks experiment shows really the truth of a wax's looks with a non biased opinion.

if it doesnt cost as much does still look good?

A link to that test would be much appreciated. edit I didnt notice someone already posted the link

im not trying to be a jerk with this thread, if thats the impression anyone got, my superwax is better than your puny mortal wax buahaha or anything like that, im just trying to figure out what most people would consider a superwax as compared to an average wax, like crystal rock compared to say Megs #26 (which is a good wax!), and seeing if there was really any true difference between a mega pricey wax and a more affordable normal wax, i HAVE noticed a big difference in switching from griots wax to the Dodo SN that i use on my supra, and i really do think Supernatural is a GREAT wax

We aren't trying to jerk you around or getting defensive . It's just we are trying to tell you that there is no difference and it all is all really subjective.

If you look at the results of that test linked it shows that this is true.

    Superwax=whatever your favorite is.

I understand that after one coat of Solaris, the car gains the ability to fly, just like the old Flubber Car!
