Just like to know you guys are refreshing your LSP's between corrections. One what was my DD I use SW Insignis with what appears to be long lasting results. THe car is washed several times a week with MS Ultragloss. After a couple months I still get fairly good beading and paint feels slick with out hardly any swirls or haloing. I've done some high performance mods and now I use it left often. My Truck which has become more or less my DD is protected with PL and topped with SV Mirage. It does not seem to beads as well or as long and loses it's slickness faster. Are you guys just washing and re-applying a LSP with out any other steps? I've been stripping and touching up with Menzerna 85rd on a black (grey) CCS pad on a 7424 and then applying the LSP again. Wrong? Right? No difference? Thanks
When i apply wax, i use products like Prima Hydro, or Duragloss Aqua wax to maintain it, and every other month I will top it off with another coat of wax........or strip it off all together after about 4 months and start over. if you are apply PL over the SV mirage as a maintenance regiment (if i gather correctly) its pointless to use SV then, the solvents in the PL will eat through the wax, best thing to do is wash it down really good, use a spray wax like I mentioned or just top off with more mirage, nothing wrong with topping wax with more wax.... feeds the durability. Applying wax does not need to be a annual event, it can be done as often as you want as long as you are maintain it, now if your car is getting allot of fall out, or embedded contaminants then you need to start over again anyway, strip it, clay it etc........
