As the topic suggest, we've twice now had issues with waxes that after buffing streak and smear creating what looks like fine holograms. So far have only noticed it twice, once with Sonax Xtreme paste wax and this yesterday with AG's HD wax :shead:

Yesterdays issues with the HD wax could be as a result of applying it over CG's M-Seal but I can't be certain. Any ideas guys ?

I have had that same issue with one other wax and I can't figure out why. It is a real PITA to remove those holograms. A wipe down with Ultima QD has helped to remove them, probably because it has a slightly stronger cleaning ability that every other QD out there.

One that I need to try again is Migliore Frutta. I had the same issue with that, but maybe I just didn't let it cure long enough.

Well I've seen my share of streaking/smearing and the only thing I can recommend is make sure you use several towels to buff the vehicle down. When ever I use Vintage I know that I'll have to give the vehicle a final wipe down with Field Glaze the next day or several hours later and I use several micro fiber towels for the wipe down.

As for bonding/mixing issues..not sure because I haven't mixed products too much my self

I always follow up with a cold distilled water wipe down a couple hours after. Seems to be working great since the smearing I had from OE disappeared from that method :)

I sometimes use cold OID too. Both work great!

With the AG Hi Def wax, you have to let it dry completely, more like a sealant. I have applied it to an entire Ford F350 before taking it off. If it doesn't buff off easily, its not ready. I haven't applied it over any type of sealant before.
