Now that winter is almost upon us I was wondering what everyones thoughts on the best winter washing method is? For those of us in the cold who are not willing to or cannot use a hose, what is better for minimal marring? Touchless car wash? Waterless car wash?
If it's up to an automated touchless wash and a self-done waterless I would opt for the waterless. Automated washes tend to use incredibly harsh chemicals, not to mention they are not very wheel friendly. Many people here prefer knocking off the nasty stuff in a pay 'n spray facility and do a waterless wash in their garage...but it depends on what facilities you have on hand.
i plan to wash my car here. route 109 in Babylon L.I., have to get the address. i was joyriding and stumbled across it. it has an excellent air dryer. i take my 2 buckets, grit guards, adams wash mitts, MF towels, wheel brushes shampoo and water. i have the air tight lids so the water doesn't spill out. i only use their water for rinsing. and of course the air dryer, that thing can dry the whole car, it's shaped like a gun with a trigger.
