Anybody tried this yet? Is it worth the cost? Autopia has it for $38 for 12oz, plus 25% off, so I wonder if it's worth a try... Anybody??? TIA.
I use it a lot and really like it. It lasts a bit longer than Z16 and gives a nice dark look to the tires without a greasy appearance. I say, buy the smaller one and see if you like it.
I see. Z16 it pretty durable compared to Adams VRP, and Optimum Tire gel (see P1et tire dressing durability test), but so is Tropi-Care tire dressing that I'm about to try (thanks, Dust2Glory)...But again, I think its too expensive to use on tires. I'd rather use it on wheels and hard plastic... I'm looking to use it on hard plastic only. It is too expensive for tires...Maybe I'll use it on wheels too... I like WOWA sealants for wheels...
Best trim dressing I have every used...Hands Down. I am not sure that I really like it on tires but for trim nothing touches it. I have used it on my boat rub rail for the past 2 years with amazing results. My boat sits in the water all summer and the black rail takes a beating. The UTTP holds up better than any other trim dressing I have used (BW, Back in Black, Megs Gold Class Trim Detailer, etc). I use it on my F150 and all of my wiper arms with great results.
I only use my bottle of BlackWow for severely aged looking trim now. I find it very messy to work with and remove from places I didn't want to get it on. The Ultima Trim Guard is the best trim sealant that I have used. It doesn't restore spent trim as much as the BlackWow doesl. Last 3-4 months on hard trim with a double coating. It dries quite fast. I also buff it out with a MF after 30-45 minutes. I think that you use too much when applying it to tires. The first 2 coats mostly soak in, then the 3rd coat will look even and semi-gloss. So I was using on my own because it is the longest last tire dressing that I have used but I was using it up too fast. So I don't use it on customer cars and I no longer use it on my car either. I save it just for trim pieces now. Its the best Ultima product IMO
I used Utima trim guard and like it so far. It's holding up pretty well, and less messy to work with then Black WOW. I like it so far, and ordered a second bottle of it.
Love love Z16, but I hate the durability. Have never tried UTTGP on trim...must try now based on your guys feedback. Primarily been using BW with okay success - (this is with full clean/prep, etc) of the trim prior (steam clean with scrubbing, followed by ISO/prepsol wipedown). Tried UTTGP on tires and while durability is marginally better than Z16, it was not lasting long enough for me to waste $$ product on the tires. I'm back on Z16.
Ultima is amazing on trim. On trim it lasts several months, the look is nice, does not run when it rains or you wash your car.
Supercharged....I do plan to try out Tropic - Care.... It's just the very nature of water based products --- that I like the look on tires. Back last year, there was rave RAVE reviews of Hyper Dressing. I don't like the look at all on my tires. Tied 1:4, 1:3, 1:5 and never got a look I liked. Slowly using up my gallon jub on wheel wells slowly alternating with Adams Undercarriage
Tropi-Care won't give you a lot of gloss, it is more matte looking with really good durability to it. It is very close to Swissvax Pneu, consider it a clone. I really like it.
