I know the yellow will have more cut, but will it finish as good as an LC orange?

i would say you can get a uber yellow to finish better than an lc orange, with the right technique and speeds of course. i barely every use orange pads anymore since phil came out with the yellow uber.

It depends on the paint and if you are using a rotary/DA.

I know that Ken (911 Fanatic) has mentioned several times that he does most of his one-steppers with a Yellow B&S pad / Powerfinish combo.

I'll be using it with a Flex 3401. I ordered a couple to try. :)

I usually get very good results with Uber orange + 203 + Flex 3401 on 1 step jobs. Finishes down fine and seems to have enough cut to get all but the deepest (removeable) scratches out.

B&S/Uber yellow with Powerfinish will finish down beautifully.

I have to say that the orange pad is my least favorite. So stiff, it's like polishing with a loaf of week old bread.

Side question: I thought the Uber orange and the LC orange were the same physical foam (density, etc)
