I really gave second thoughts to going to the Arch today because of the weather. It's been overcast all day and rain was in the forecast. Those two conditions didn't give me a warm and fuzzy as far as capturing some really neat skyline pictures today.
So against my better judgment I headed down to the Arch grounds. Much to my surprise the place was packed with people. Guess that's what happens on holiday weekends.

The Old Courthouse. This is where the Dred-Scott case was started. I plan on going there tomorrow.

I had to kill some time before my tram ride. So I took a look at the Westward Expansion section. This is supposed to be Thomas Jefferson.

My first attempt of getting a picture of this teepee ended abruptly when some nitwit pushing a stroller decides to walk right in front of me and roll the stroller over my toes. I decided it would be best not to make a scene at that point and just come back when the teepee had less people around.

I'm out of town the week/weekend of the All-Star Game/Home Run Derby and I couldn't be happier. Can only imagine how crowded everything around where I live is going to be.

    Thanks Ben.
