I think what needs to be realized is that body shops and detailers compliment one another. I have a great relationship with a body shop I use exclusively. I don't pretend I'm a painter and they don't pretend they are detailers and can do what I do. At the end of the day, our industry does need some regulations but it needs to be for the betterment of the industry...not another way for the state to make life harder on us and tax us to death. It seriously makes me sick to my stomach hearing stuff daily about the BS going on state and federal level. HEADS ON A STICK!!!!
Nicely put, Moe. But, end of the day, there are those of us that perform only detail services; correction and wash, wax, etc. But, in the pursuit of more $$$ gain, there are many who have moved into PDR, spot painting, etc. And,. I think this is where the auto body shops are feeling the pains????
