look what i came across on craigslist take alook at the holograms he is proudly leaving! this guy is in my area and i have lost clients because he polishes cars for a lot less then I do:shakehead: ☺PROFESSIONAL MOBILE AUTO DETAIL TO YOUR DOOR, FREE ESTIMATES
I'm laughing at all these pics since I can no longer let them burn my eyes. Audi with lambo brakes and the paint is torch to heck and a hand basket :yikes:
My pics here may not be the most unbelievable swirl marks or holograms, but they are real and were taken with my camera at the international auto salon here in Montreal. I was with Phil P. at the show, so he can confirm this if anyone doesn't believe me The pics are of a 1959 Porsche, a collectors item, on display in the collectors gallery. In this shot, it looks all nice and clean (I desaturated all colors but red to give an accent on the seats, the car really is black, and carpet really is gray) and here are 5 consecutive shots I took while moving about an inch over between shots. I looked around the room real fast to see if I could spot the owner to give him my business card. No luck. I guess this one will be like this for a while. What a shame.
This doesn't quite qualify as holograms, but the swirls covering this 911 Turbo grossed me out so bad I cut the guy a deal on cleaning it up. The entire car was covered in clear bra when he purchased it. The dealer peeled it all off, and never polished or waxed the car. He'd never had the car polished or waxed either, so he had no idea what the car was supposed to look like. This guys Audi A6 Wagon made me glad my Allroad never had to go through the shame of looking like this... And after cutting with 3M rubbing compound on a white 3M pad as reference: Sadly, after this car was done it looked brand new. And then he took it through a mechanical car wash. I've never felt like crying over some one ruining my work, until then. :shakehead:
Sadly it's deal with them or I get zero clients. I live in like the second richest county in the entire state, but everyone comes here for the school system (Honestly I never saw why there was such a fuss)...so everyone has money, but no one has nice cars because they're hauling around carloads of small children all the time and therefore won't spend any money on their cars. So I just take what I can get and enjoy doing the nice cars when I get them And because I'm 18 and operate from home people don't seem to trust me as much with their nice cars as they do the "professional detailing shops" that are around here. I do have a fairly steady client base in my neighborhood, but after detailing 5 sticky Honda Odysseys you want something with a bit more class haha. Sorry that was completely off topic
Consider yourself lucky. I cant even get my neighbors (Asian) to talk to me (Black) on regular basis. I havent even offered any services to them. Yea im off topic sorry.
