So recently we have gotten microfibers and detailing clay. What do you think we will have in the future? Also, what do you think vehicle finishes are going to change? We have cermic clear coats by Mercedes recently.
A scratch free attachment for my shop vac so I can just suck the water off my car. The self healing paints like those on the GT-R will be refined and become more true to the name. Maybe even a paint that is living and breathing that can regenerate sluffing off nasty faded dead paint. Or tires that grow new tread. That would be great.
Polymer 'wraps' that are so easy to apply/remove that you can change when it becomes scratched or just to try another colour
how about "diamond hard" clearcoats that are basically impossible to scratch or marr up. that would put some of us out of business though i believe....
There's a new Nano-paint polymer technology in the works that goes over the current clear coats that does just that to help the car protect itself...
...or dealerships can offer an *optional* REAL diamond coating...for a small charge of course Some famous rapper has probably already done it
It may put polishers out of business but wait till you see how much paint touch up will be needed. I have seen a lot of chipping with new ceramic finishes. Just drive one on gravel roads enough to find out how easy they are to chip.
I think you will see one step polishes capable of removing bad RIDS and finishing Lsp ready. With products like Menz Power Finish and a few of the Gloss-it polishes, its almost a done deal already.
