I found myself in a similar predicament some years ago and went to work for Dominos Pizza. I soon found myself promoted to Shift Mgr., Asst. Mgr. and then managing my own store. Pretty soon there was actual money involved as I was being encouraged to become a franchisee. You may find yourself making good money and detailing on the side if you are not careful.

To the diligent and hard working reward will come.

Nice one Tom! So your landscaping business is your ful-time job, then this is for the winter months? For some reason I thought you worked in a hospital or something!

Tom...I admire your tenacity for not giving up. :applause2: I admire also your choice to put ego aside and do what it takes to pay the bills. I pray things go well for you and your family. Hopefully in hte summer with your landscaping biz, that you'll be busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking competition!! Have you tried doing some detailing on the side too? (Sorry if that's a stupid question!) Try approaching some companies that are recession proof or seem to be doing well. I just landed a contract with a funeral home for their coaches. People die every day and their cars need to look good. If you land one, the others are almost a sure bet. Limo companies are another idea. I am going to make up a power point of the before/after pics of some of my details showing all kinds of cars (expensive and not) as well as pics of my products and testimonials from a few cstomers. I'm going to burn it onto those mini dvds that fit in my pocket and hand them out to prospective customers. Cheap, very effective advertising. That's my winter project. I just got my power point program and I have a free PP viewer program that will also be on the dvd.
Opportunity used to knock. Now, it walks by quickly and you've got to run out your front door and chase it down. Good for you for chasing it!

thank you richy . what i am doing this year is only useing 1 employee as opposed to 2 this way ill save alot of payroll .. im useally pretty busy with landscaping so thats good . most of my custamers have been with me for 10 years. so i figure with having 1 employee this year and saving the rest on payroll. and saving for next winter hopefully well be better prepered..
