They are all spoken for. i had posted if anyone was interested in the 3m BPs, but only 2 people responded.
i really like the blue waffle pad, its really soft and to me it doesnt eat up the polish like i find LC pads to. havent had a chance yet to try the black or orange compounding pad though.
Try using the black pads with 105 and the rotary, the correction will be great and the finish will be nice, not perfect but nice.
Nice :headbang: :headbang: the 3M backing plate is a great tool to have and those pads are really nice. The orange compounding pad works really well a bit stiff so you just have to watch the edges but other then that it works really good. The black one is okay, it has a bit more bite then the blue one. I've used it a couple of times and for the most part it works okay but it's really for those vehicles that require the in-between the blue polishing pad and the orange compounding pad :shrug: it's nice having it but I personally feel it's almost not necessary...but like I said it's nice having. Good stuff you got there.. im leaning towards 3M pads and BP.... btw.. where did you buy them and how much did it run you? hey NICA... so which 3M pads should be best to have. Are there any better pads than 3M? I mean which pads should be in a detailer's chest. Ive read you mentioned MEGs and Sonus... so far I have LC...and im either using it for Makita or flex3403 depending which one I order.. THANKS
Well 3M pads are quite nice, I really like the blue polishing pad. It's soft and it has a really good bite to it. I've also had great success with Meg's pads, the polishing pad combined with Menzerna has given me great results :thumb: I also like the Sonus pads, I really like having that extra caution. Sonus combined with the 3M backing plate has lots of caution best part the 3M backing plate spreads the pressure evenly. Oh I also have the Menzerna pads them selves and boy are they nice pads, they are different from all the other pads I have in my arsenal. They are stiff both the compounding pad and the polishing pad but Menzerna pads are great to work with. They are 5inch size and in my opinion they are perfect..if you like smaller pads that is....the only thing I don't like about them is they are so stiff. You just have to pay attention when your using them that's all. Oh and the nice thing about the Menzerna pads is that it takes them a very long time to get saturated but that's okay because Menzerna like the CCS pads keep the polish on the surface and hardly any gets saturated in to the pad..that I found a bit odd at first but you get the hang of them after a wile. I like them, they work good for me. So many pads out there but these I'm happy with...oh and there is nothing wrong with Lake Country, they will get the job done :thumb: I have Lake Country pads as well...it's been a wile since I used them though :shrug:
