RUF Rturbo: 996 Porsche

    great work, only one concern and it isnt even about detailing

    is it just me or does it look like the owner of this fine car, needs new rotors? some people have told me the risk of having drilled rotors was the risk of them cracking, and thats what it looks like in this pic

    Oh yea - trust me that's an issue I pointed out right away. Heat/stress cracks can be dangerous, especially if the car is driven aggressively. The owner already knew of this problem and the rotors have apparently been like this since he took ownership of the vehicle.

    As for the tips - we worked on them but they were quite bad. APC / Steel wool / metal polish were all used, and though it helped, it wasn't 100%. As with our policy, we informed the owner of our ill-fated attempt, and he told us the only way he's got them clean was using 1000 grit. No way were we going to do that unless he wanted us to try it, and he didn't.
