    All,

Just got my Zymol sponges in, will put them to good use this weekend! I am currently using all-white ShMITTs, but wanted a change.

Hey P1et, care to do a comparison to the Proline grout sponge? I'd be interested to hear your opinion between the two. :)

Looking forward to your review! I was a die hard Z-sponge user in the past. They're great sponges. However, I prefer the ShMitt now. The waffled face on the ShMitt gives me more piece of mind and the fact that it's a mitt and not a square block of foam makes it easier to use IMO. Plus, the ShMitt holds WAY more wash solution.

Sorry about that! But you know how excited we get when we buy something new, even as simple as a sponge. But I promise to have a good review when I wash my truck next, with pics!

I actually don't have a Proline grout sponge, so I would not be able to do a review on it. Sorry!

When I see a good deal, I go for it! I ordered it on Friday, it was here on Tuesday. Cannot complain!

I never had anything against the ShMITT either, other than the fact that I have had three seperate on me and it was time for me to try something new! The Zymol sponges are a LOT cheaper, too...

First of all, MY APOLOGIES! I will never make the mistake again of teasin the DB fanaticals with a review, only to SHEERLY disappoint! I hope the below makes up for my previous downfall...

    Product: Zymol sponge (3-pack)

    Price: $15.95 (shipped) from Autoanything.com

Packaging: be careful: the plastic packaging has two staples in it. I opened (read: ripped) it open above my stack of MFs and could not find one of the staples. Had to look for it for a minute, so be careful there...

Feel: feels good in the hand, very soft, softer than I had imagined.

Application: this thing hold water, a LOT of water. I filled a 5 gallon bucket like I normally do and almost used all of it. That's about twice as much as with my ShMITT. Not necessarily a bad thing, but an interesting observation. I find, compared with the ShMITT, that it's a much more accurate washing tool. I would always miss spots around the door handles with the ShMITT, but not with the Zymol sponge. Accurate, easy to handle, and never heavy. Also, it's quite well built. My ShMITT would start ripping/tearing after going over lettering, but the Zymol sponge just goes right over it.

All in all, a very nice product and I think I am going to make the permanent switch. It's a LOT cheaper than a ShMITT and I feel like I got a better wash out of it. Great value, great product, highly recommended!

    Here some pics!!!
