Recommend me a Glass Cleaner

I just use Last Touch 1:1, it works much better than Invisible Glass (IMO) and leaves the glass nice and slick.

 

Autoglym Fast Glass for weekly cleaning. Like Sprayaway, its alcohol based, not ammonia based. For really dirty glass or to make it sparkl, Autoglym Glass Polish - but use it sparingly.

50/50 IPA works great.

 

I use FK-425 on all my windows. House, Car, Whatever. I did my wifes Malibu today and with 1 MF towel and 10 minutes I had the windows sparkling. I've know this for some time now and It still amazes me...:thumb:

 

Funny this question should come up, as I recently stumbled upon an old Autopia thread addressing this question. I was particularly struck by the suggestion to concoct one's own glass cleaner:

1 part isopropyl alcohol
2 parts distilled water
2 drops of biodegradable dishwashing detergent per quart of solution

I was going to ask how people like this product as I heard good things and picked up some at the Detail Fest.

 

Zep from home depot, the green professional one. 1 gal about $10 and makes 30 gallons of cleaner. Lately I find myself using ONR.

 

So question are all these glass cleaners tint safe? That is a very important factor I must consider for my windows.

Right now I use Stoners IG and it works pretty well nothing super spectacular but it is tint safe so I use it.

 

To the best of my knowledge and per Mike Philips from Meguiar's, their glass concentrate D120 is also tint safe, another reason why I figured I'd try it.

 

Sprayway is and it outperforms Stoners by a long shot IMO.

 

Lusso glass polish is safe for tint and any automobile surface including leather so you don't have to worry about overspray, it will wipe right off with no problems or you can just let it dry and nothing will happen. I used to like stoners, but Lusso is much better.

 

I've found this to be my experience as well for cleaning the interior side. For the outside, I use Sprayway then DG AW on the side windows. Windshield and rear window get Sprayway then 1Z Glas Polish.

 

I love surf city glass cleaner, but I just picked up a can of MS aerosol glass cleaner. I never used a glass cleaner in a aerosol can so I thought I will give it a chance.

 

Sprayway is what I use and am very pleased with it.

 

I just looked up Sprayway, does it only come as foam? I prefer liquid, I find it less messy. I'll give Surf City a try.

 

Yeah, it sprays as a foam similar to IG. I usually just spray my MF and have at it.

 

Late to this party, but anyway.... Stoner IG pre-treated wipes work very well. Especially for quick touch ups.
