pressure washers - which one???

i just got the 1600 psi one from target on sale for $79.99 reg price $129.99. came with a 5 piece cleaning set. dont think i'll use most of it, besides maybe the brushes. i also got a rain check for one more unit, if anyone wants it.

I changed my mind today and I think I'm going to go with the Karcher unit from Costco. The model Costco has is the K 3.47 M which is 1750psi with 1.5gpm.

The thing I like about purchasing this unit from Costco is that if/when the unit should break, I can return/exchange it at Costco without any trouble. Of course, it has a higher price tag (~$140-150) but I don't mind considering the "lifetime" warranty.

 

i found some nice brass adapters that convert karcher to npt with a 1/4inch female. then i use the 1/4 to 1/4 for my foam cannons. have sold 3 so far with no problems. also looking at some plastic adapters but i'm worried about the durability of those. but we'll see, i just need a test subject with a karcher, dont wanna buy one just for tests.

 

those are the best foam cannons ever. i love them and so do my customers. not one failure yet.

 

how much is too much when it comes to pressure for washing/rinsing a car? I really don't know anything about pressure washers, and thought about getting a Karcher, and ordering a foam lance, since they do better than the foam guns.

 

advs1 could put of pix of what the brass fittings look like? also where did you get it at

Looks like it will screw onto the handle where you remove the wand.

 

thats kewl. looks like a 22mm twist fitting. but the ones i have are for the karcher that have that tab spring thing. i hate using a long wand and the foamer hanging out too far. i like short trigger guns and short attachments. helps me keep thing in control with one hand.

You didn't look close enough then because that's exactly what it is.

If your a retailer, what is the price for the bottle/foamer on the left, that's all, I made the adaptor for the turbo nozzle, I can make one for this too.

Reason I posted what I did , I said it in the post, I wanted to attach it at the end of my wand. That is a 9 HP 3100 PSI 3.1 GPM washer, NOT an electric one.

no need to get upset. i know what you meant. but the karchers i have been dealing with are the twist tab that locks in to the wand. the cannon come with a standard 1/4fpt output. if you want any more info please PM me.

but it is a standard 1/4 hi pressure quick disconnect. you can use what ever you want as long as it is a 1/4 MPT for the cannon to attach
