I received my foam lance yesterday and took a trip to Lowe's to figure out how to get it all connected.

Failure. There were no feasible options with the gun that came with my Craftsman power washer as to get the quick disconnect attachments to work with it, it took about 3 or so adapters and was too long looking and kinda loose. For now I did buy a male 2 male screw adapter so that I can try out the foam lance.
I was however able to purchase the fittings and quick disconnect adapters for the high pressure water line so that I don't have to screw them on anymore.

So.... Instead of trying to make the current gun I have work, I'm thinking of just buying an additional gun with a trigger specifically for use with the foam lance. I saw a solution that I would like to mimmick on Autopia.org

Browsing the Pressureparts.com site and I came across this trigger gun Gun, Iride, 4100psi, 8gpm, 3/8"

This is to be used with my 2550psi gas powered Craftsman unit... Model 580.752330
What connections would I need. I'm new to pressure washers and such. From what I'm seeing most accessories for pressure washers are univeral , trigger guns, etc...

    Check pressureparts.com

I think they've got a chart that shows you exactly what you need adapter-wise to connect different fittings to each other.

Either with a new gun or the one you have, remove the quick-connector from the gun and foamer as you have them now, and with a threaded tube/pipe, screw the foamer straight into the gun. You will need to Figure out if your using a NPT or Metric thrd. My thinking is a short 2 inch nipple will work for you. Possible 3/8" NPT?
That way you will have 2 guns and 1 is built up for the foamer.

What I'm trying to describe is where the pipe sticks out of mine, why can't that directly screw into your gun?

I have a different fitting on the end of mine. The connection I have on the end of my current trigger gun is a male threaded end 3/8". I cannot mount the foam lance to it without a 3/8" coupler as the connection that came with my lane is also a male 3/8" threaded end connecter.

At this point I CAN use my current gun with the 3/8" coupler I have purchased (last night @ Lowe's), but I would have to unscrew the lance and re-attach the wand, which is kind of a pain, especially when you are in the process of washing. Hence my interest in purchasing an additional trigger gun specifically for my foam lance attachment. I'm just not sure which trigger gun will work with my current pressure washer as there are various guns with different PSI compatibility limts, etc....

I have the exact set up as you see above in fact I think that's probably Deep Gloss' set up in the pic. Just about any gun will do as long as it will handle the pressure your PW is putting out. Any gun that would handle 3000 psi or more will work. Put a female quick connect on the trigger gun and you are set. I think my trigger gun cost about $20. You can pick up a $20 one and be all set.

So I am trying to figure out, which is the size of the threaded end that screws into the head of the foam lance?

You need a male quick connect to go into the foam cannon and then a female quick connect to go on the trigger gun you buy and you will be set and have a set up like the one in the orginal post.
