American produced product has to go to Ford. They are turbocharging and getting fuel mileage. And yes for you Prius Green lovers they have hybrid models....... Performance and fuel economy are not is the same sentence, if you want tire shredding HP and fun to drive it cost. If you chasing MPG then the vehicle will be boring as some on the broad describe. I wonder why the Camry has been America's best selling car for 10 years in a row?
Trust me that's the last one on my list. I've been meaning to call you about VW. Wouldn't mind having one at all, but my budget is 15-17k. I'm fully aware of that, but I'm looking for something that's is fun to drive, but not necessarily a HP monster. To be honest with you, I would absolutely love a FOCUS ST, but I can't afford it. There are a few 4cyl vehicles that are nimble without having massive HP. I love Japanese 4 bangers ... easy to fix and maintain. I'm didn't mean to confuse everyone when I said I wanted some fun to drive. I should have said something fun to drive when commuting. Thanks for the feedback and I agree with you ... Ford is the brand to buy. And this is coming from an ex-GM employee.
We have an Acura TSX and love it. We have 90k miles on it, bought it new and the only problem we've had was an a/c blower motor that I had to replace two months ago. Cost $60 and I swapped it out myself. Other than tires and oil changes, its been a perfect car.
all day bro. all day......... figured a smart for 2 is too small. IDK. this isnt that bad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeZMZaxVmMg better then a prius.
My wife has the 2012 Passat. She is a superstar driver, cant get her out of it. Loves the car. 58K on it already, Her job is only 2.3 miles from our house!! Oil change after oil change and is on second set of tires, Other than than no issues, Great car!!
06-07 Mazdaspeed 6 - had an 06 and loved it, might be hard to find. Subaru Legacy GT 2.5 T or Legacy GT 3.0 R Limited
I'll just throw this one out there as my brother just bought one a coupe weeks ago. 2012 Impala LT with only 11,000 miles for $14,000 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, 300hp, 30mpg on the highway! Not the best looking cars and they are very basic inside but they are fairly reliable, cheap to work on, and you're pretty much getting a band new car with under 20,000 miles. Most of them a fleet returns so look at a lot of them and find one in good shape.
Well guys ... I finally got a vehicle. I just purchased a 2009 Jetta GLI with the Autobahn Pkg in Candy White. I'll take pics later. Thanks everyone for their help. Especially pureshine (Todd) and kilo_6_one (Karl). I guess I'm a VAG guy now.
Nice Gianni. Welcome to the world of unbelievable mileage. They can be quirky and you either love em or hate em. I love em!
I'm loving it right now. Me and the wifey have owned 7 accords and I am just tired of seeing them everywhere. I keep up with the maintenance and love to work on my vehicles, so I think I'll be ok. I also bought a long extended warranty to make sure. Can't mod it right now, but maybe in the near future.
