Well my photobucket account has exceeded it's bandwidth which totally licks. All of my detailing pictures are gone, I tried to delete some pictures and I deleted a good number of them but it still says bandwidth is exceeded. Just a couple questions, are there any other photosharing hosts that have larger bandwidths for free that is recommended? Also, is there any other way to get my pics back? Brendan
I've been working on something to put on my servers for months, I just don't have enough time to get it 100%
It's like $25 a year now...I'm going to use photobucket for a while and rather not have to pay $25 a year
Deleting pics won't help with your bandwidth problem. It's the amount of traffic photobucket is getting ie people downloading your pics. If you've hit your limit for the month your pictures are safe but you just can't see them. When the next month rolls over the pics will be back to normal. That's the problem with free photo hosting sites. Bandwidth doesn't come free.
Oh come on $25.00 wont kill you, heck I've been using Photobucket since 2006, never had a problem, I get unlimited bandwidth...I have over 10,000 pictures in my account oh and they just upgraded their picture quality as well. I was going to upload all my pictures to the DB Server but since Photobucket stepped up their service (kinda) I'm sticking with them...$25.00 wont kill you and it's only once a year..that's $2.08/month :shrug:
Photobucket just rubs me the wrong way for some reason. I like SmugMug, but there is no free account there. Worth it, IMHO.
I am pretty sure when you post pics in a discussion group (like DB) linked backed to your photo host, anytime someone opens the particular thread and the images get loaded, it counts against your bandwidth. They do not have to want to see your pics or not (like catching up on the thread discussion or someone quotes it causing another instance) but gets done automatically when they view the thread.
