So as some of you might recall i had a customer slip and fall into my cars bumper, resulting in the paint flaking off, which was due to it being badly resprayed by a mechanic who i refuse to go back to now. so im looking to finally get my car repainted there and maybe eventually get my hood repainted if i cant fix some pitting and bad respray the same mechanic did. My question is does anyone here have experience with a good painter or bodyshop who i can trust to do a good job? I wanna save as much $ as possible also and would like to provide the paint unless they can get it cheaper. thanks in advance
Where in Northern NJ? I use a body shop guy in Englewood, NJ. He has always done nice work and manages to buff the paint nicely to a high shine upon delivery...no swirl marks or scratches or anything like that and does a high-quality paint job although I don't know the details. I highly doubt any body shop would allow you to provide your own paint though. Anyways, the place name/info: John Kim Eurotech Auto Body 267 S van Brunt St Englewood, NJ 07631 -Small shop, low volume, but does awesome work. There is also another guy on Route 4 in Fort Lee, NJ. I have heard that he does really good work and he always has late model high end vehicles sitting outside the lot that have just been repaired or need to be repaired. I will find out some more information on this guy and update my post.
thanx for the info. the reason i would like to provide the paint is because the oem paint is very unique for this car and i dont want some similar paint being used. but this is if its taken to a shady shop. obviously higher end shops wont do this. but also i would like to not get ripped off for a simple paint job. but let me get that other guys info 2 id like to do some quoting before i settle on one shop
