Congrats, that radiator looks slick. I love the picture of the MATCO tool cart with the craftsman tool box laying underneath it That shop is pretty incredible, amount of stuff in one area is just insane.
The store front (and my radiator...LOL): My car on a lift a couple months ago for an event held at the shop: These guys are pretty cool: I'm just waiting for a call back to see if the owner of the GT40 wants a detail before the car goes home. :applause2: The room with the dyno machine is behind the plastic curtain. Well, now you've got me curious. Are the LS-1 (or LS-whatever they call it) GTOs known for cooling problems? I've been road racing for several years now, and my secret fantasy is to detail people's race cars for a living. Trouble seems to be that a lot of folks in the racing circles I frequent (SCCA club mostly) seem to pride themselves on driving ratty looking cars. It's a strange cultural thing with a lot of those guys.
The 04's had LS1's. Those radiators are easily found and quite a bit cheaper than mine. The 05/06's have LS2's. No they do not typically have cooling problems. It's just a bit of a design flaw with the tanks. I've met some members of the SCCA. The guys I've met have Vettes, Mazda's, and Subies. They all seemed to take really good care of their cars. I've seen the ratty looking cars you're talking about too. Makes me wonder sometimes. Then again there are guys are all about performance. Looks be damned.
