Its for my wife, she wanted a point and shoot camera she can fit in her purse for when the baby comes... :shh: Or it could really be just for me, Pink goes well with my eyes. :
Mic and light, dude you got the extra accessories? Really :yikes: man your hard core...but as far as I know they should just connect and your set well at least that's what I read, I didn't purchase the mic or light so I'm not too sure.
I got almost all my accessories in. For the HG10: Boom mic, External light, wide angle lens For the Xti Speedflash! I also got the Canon bag to fit all these things into. How Carlos what did you pay for the 300mm lens? To any one who knows about this lens, how is it?
Man that's wicked FMINUS, let me know how the extra stuff for the HG10 works out buddy. I was looking at some of that stuff my self but for now I'm holding off on it. Specially the wide angle lens, that looks very interesting :thumb: As for the XTi, I've been looking at a flash but keeping my eyes open for now. As for the lens 300mm lens. I honestly don't know how much the lens it's self would cost because we got it as a package. Now the one that Scott's saying is a shake reduction lens, is that right Scott? I think "IS" means shake reduction technology and boy they are pricey but well worth it, I have my eye on a shake reduction lens that I'd love to get :thumb:
No wonder Im having a hard time finding it! The wide angle lens is a MUST! Its awesome when using it indoors. The boom mic I got because the reviews for the HG10 always included the NEG on the camcorder for its sound quality. The light is useless, lol. The Speedflash is AMAZING! You can point the light in the ceiling and create a lighted room effect. And you can take multiple shots without the flash needing to "recharge". The stock flash sucks big time on the Xti, I was so frustrated with it when I used it at my wifes baby shower.
Another thing, I was watching some of my replays and the quality doesnt seem to be that much better than my Sony DCR-HC42 camcorder. And I checked the settings on the HG10 and made sure its at its highest setting?
Yea the wide angle seems like a must have, as for the quality of the camcorder. I was comparing the Cannon with my systers Sony (I'm not sure which model she's got though, but I don't think it's a HD quality?) and the Cannon was kicking it's but but like I said not sure if it was a fair comparison as I don't know the model on my systers sonny. It's a brand new one though, she got it about a month before I purchased ours As for the flash for the XTi, yea I know what you mean about the flash it comes with. It gets anoying and I never use it but I got my eye on a flash :thumb: and another lense
The quality is just not as good as I expected it to be. I was thinking Discovery Channel HD quality.....
Ooh I haven't compared it to Discovery Channel HD lol but you know what I've been looking at too. If you record something using the high setting of the camcorder and then load it up to say Youtube the quality isn't that great, I've tried it and I'm not sure if I did something wrong but the quality just didn't look that great. I'm still reading a bit on the up loading and quality but so far I know what you mean about quality, I'm starting to wonder if it's worth spending so much on a HD camcorder when you up load it to the net it's only going to look like a regular video Oh but the quality on my HD TV when I connect the camcorder looks prity good, I just haven't compared it to any HD channels though..mm... thanks for the tip :chest:
