i just bought 2 blue perl drying towels and received them last week from Autopia i used one to dry one of the cars in the household and i have found that after using it and letting it dry, it feels stiffer than the one i haven't use yet, hard water maybe..... is this normal? whats a proper way in taking care of my MF towels? whats a good MF cleaner that will keep them soft? i really like super soft MF towels
Well I've always washed my microfiber with Microfiber Restore and my towels have maintained that soft feeling to them...but to be honest that's all I've used from day one, others/recommend vinegar but I've never tried it my self :shrug:
Ive used MicroRestore, DP microfiber wash, Pinnacle MicroRejuvinator, Charlie's soap, All Free n Clear. I kinda like MicroRestore the most. This has been talked about alot. Find something that works for you.
I have tried Micro-Restore and pinnacle Micro Rejuvenator So far I like both. You get more bang for the buck with MR...:thumb:
I wash my MFs with CG Microfiber Wash, warm cycle, with a second rinse. Then I hang them to dry. Always come out SUPER fluffy...
Good choice on the Blue Perl drying towels, that ultra soft WW fabric is my favorite to dry with and that sale price is hard to beat. I've never had a problem with my MF's and here is the ritual I use: Wash on warm or hot with Microfiber Restore, run them through two rinse cycles with ~ 1/2 cup vinegar added to the first rinse. Dry on low heat and remove while slightly damp to reduce static when folding. The vinegar in the first rinse cycle helps them to release any detergents, it might not be needed when using a MF specific detergent, but vinegar is cheap. Never use fabric softener when you wash your MF's or softener sheets in the dryer with them. The fabric softener will actually make them less absorbent.
