What Menzerna products do you guys find yourself using? And between two people should I buy a 32oz bottle and split it (16oz each) or a 16oz bottle (8 oz each)?

I got various swirl marks and surface scratches. Few shops on here recomended me the following:

    Shop 1:
    -Power Gloss
    -Power Finish
    -Super Finish

    Shop 2:
    -Super Intensive
    -Super Finish

And each said the Sealing Wax or Power Lock is optional because you could use a wax you already have.

If you are only doing your own cars, get a 16oz and split it. It only takes a few oz to a car so 8oz each would be enough to do your car twice. If you are doing more cars than that, get the 32oz. Power Gloss is only needed if you have serious defects.

I agree, 32 oz will last a long long time....... but it is a better value if you look at the total cost and life of usage. I love powergloss, I actually prefer it to M105. It is very aggressive and I usually finish it off with PF or SIP. SIP only on wednesdays though.

Okay, I do have some serious defects. Would I need Power Gloss, Super Intensive, and Super Finish? Or substitute Super Intensive with Super Finish

PG for the serious defects, this stuff is very aggressive as noted, as for SIP or super finish, I have had excellent luck with SIP and its ready to go after that....... LSP ready as they say.

After Power Gloss do you need Intensive Polish after or only one?

Is your AMG black ? Are you trying to get really good correction and finishing down and jeweling the paint ?

I read that Power Gloss which has a cut of 4.5 out of 5, works great, but is aggressive, dusts, and you will need to polish down the finish afterwards.
M105 while finicky sometimes to get going, does dust too, but finishes down really nicely, probably better than Power Gloss.
Super Intensive PO83 has a cut of 3.8 out of 5, so it can also do a great job depending on the paint, pad, and machine you are using, and has a gloss of 3.2 out of 5.
Finishing with PO106FA Super Finish is always good - it has a little cut of 2.5 and a gloss of 5 out of 5, so if you are wanting to further refine, then this one would be good, depending on paint, pad, and machine.

My car is a Black Nissan Sentra SE-R, 08 Silver Mercedes ML320, and friend has a Black 02 Porsche 911, and Grey Toyota Yaris. Trying to find products we can all use and just split.

Like can you use Power Gloss and Super Intensive or only one?

You can use both, actually if you are using PG you will NEED SIP or SF to finish it down after a few passes with PG. If you only use SIP or SF then you probably dont need anything else. PG is too aggressive to use by itself and not finish it down with something.

If you are using it with a DA and rotary, I would pick Powergloss, Power finish and 85rd.

Ok, you have easy colors to correct.

Unless the finishes are really hammered with swirling, scratches, you know, how some truck's tailgates look that are work trucks, I would not ever use anything as aggressive as Power Gloss, but that's just me...

I would stick with PO83 Super Intensive, and PO203S Power Finish, and PO106FA Super Finish. In the order listed, PO83 cuts at 3.8 out of 5, PO203S cuts at 3.5 out of 5, and PO106FA cuts at 2.5 out of 5.
In the order listed, each will have gloss of - 3.2, 3.8, and 5 out of 5.

    Good luck with this !

    So whats the best combo:

    -Super Intensive
    -Power Finish
    -Super Finish
    (why 2 polishes tho?)

    -Power Gloss
    -Super Intensive
    -Super Finish

Super Intensive is a medium cut compound
Power Finish is a less than medium cut compound can finish with more gloss
Super Finish has very little cut, but is available if needed, and can finish down with the highest gloss available - 5.

Sometimes you wont need the med cut and will only need the other 2, and when you have it all dialed in, and keep up on it, all you may need is the very little cutting Super Finish that also gives the most gloss.

Choices can be mixed, etc., however you want it. Different pads, (color) will affect everything , different paint, (hard, medium, soft clear, etc.,) and lastly, the machine and how its used, will make the biggest difference in how much correction is possible.

Still don't know how much correction you are looking to get- perhaps you might consider a 1-step on the order of Meguiars D-151 and be done with it ??

The cars aren't that old only the Porsche being 9 years. I think I could do without power gloss

    -Super Intensive
    -Power Finish
    -Super Finish

Thinking of going with that combo

I have a question myself on a Menz product its regarding Powerlock. I just did a trade with Karl for some PL for BFWD. I just got done applying a coat to my mustang gt and am letting bond before I remove it, its been 15 minutes so far but I am going to leave it on for about 30 to 45 minutes before I remove it. I wanted to know how in how many hours can apply a second coat? I have to say Powerlock a joy to work with; just as easy as applying BFWD and I used only a little more than 1/2oz to cover the entire vehicle.

I always do one coat right after the other, not too much wait time in between, Powerlock is almost a wipe on wipe off product.

I have tried Menz F500, Powergloss, SIP(3.02), power finish(203), super finish(106) and micro finish(85rd) with both DA and rotary. The pad I use are mainly LC pads and 2 B&S pad;yellow and green.

Imho, if i have both DA and rotary and could only pick one polish, i will prefer power finish. If i can pick 2, it will either be SIP & 106 or 203 & 85rd (personally favour this). If I were to pick 3 polishes, my choice will be PG, 203 & 85rd. These 3 polishes imo in terms of paintwork correction will cover a very wide range of clearcoat. F500 or PG will be handly when you are face with extremely hard clear, in fact, at times I wish they were even more aggressive. Yet, on a soft- moderately paintwork, 203 with wool/cutting pad on a rotary can do alot of correction and you can finish off using a DA with a light cutting pad, or If need be a polishing pad. 85rd can be use on ultra soft or fussy clear and is adding the last bit of gloss if you ain't satisfy with 203.

Is best if you roughly know the type of clear you are handling. I remember having a hard time finishing with black porche with DA + 85rd + B&S green/ LC blue (could be polish /clear incompetible though). Conversely, I was struggling to remove watermark etching on a BMW 1 series with rotary +PG +LC 4 PLY Wool.
