I haven't tried the MV350, I'm guessing it's the successor to MV250. I've used Mystique, Phase V, Foam pad machine glaze, One shot. They all are good for auto dealership detail shops, but I won't use them in my shop. We use mostly Menzerna polishing compounds.

Hey, if their products are good enough for Chip Foose and Boyd Coddingtons shops then they're good enough for me :thumb:

I am mosly using Menzerna, 3M and Scholl concepts - but I also like Mark V. MV-350 is a great compound
and coach wax is a great wax.

    MV250 is nothing like MV350.

The Mark V polishes I use - Uno and Mystique, are foolproof and always render very good results. As Porta mentions, Coach Wax is a very good carnauba. I'm very satisfied with these and all the other Mark V products I've purchased. :thumb:

A quick update on Mark-Vs Coach wax. I used this for the first time back in January and so far the beading and shine have not dropped one bit and after 6 or 7 weekly washes the paint still feels very slick. I think it might have knocked FK1000 off my top spot, we'll have to give it a couple more weeks yet though.

That's what we use in our shop. It's one of the best soaps on the market, and highly dilluteable.

    Hi,
I have IP100 Sealant and Dazzle at hand. I understand Dazzle has some cleaning/minor polishing and some filling with some durable protection behind. I had IP100 for a better durability, and was planning to use it on a filler heavy glaze like Prima Amigo or a cleaner like Dazzle. But reading ratings on several sites I see power and protection values for IP100 also. Does it have abrasives or cleaners in it? Is it useless to top anything with IP100? You guys may have an idea I think.

Raider Boy, do you work for Mark-V? It seems you promote their product significantly (not a bad thing.) Just wondering what your ties to the company are? Can you tell me a bit more about their compounds and polishes, which are worth a try?

how you compared coach wax to collinite 476s or fk1000? 476s n fk1000 are cheap and top notch products ... most people have it in hand for the sake of durability in winter...

No I don't work for them but they probably should give me a better discount for advertising their products. I don't have any ties other than being a customer and only living 5 mins from their shop, but I have to say they are the first company that I've found that have great products across the range. We used to buy some things from Autowax, some from Pro and mostly 3M polishes, but we find it easier to have just one supplier and these guys fit the bill great.

As for polishes, we use Uno, which is a really good one product does all, or we use MV350 followed by Phase V. Both give excellent results, I leave it up to the guy doing the polishing to decide which system he wants to use.

I ended up driving to Mark V the other day, unfortunately, they did not have any Uno or Mystique in stock. I really wanted to try those two polishes out. However, I did end up getting a gallon of their Window Sheen and Very Cherry shampoo. After trying both products I must say that they are really really nice, I'm especially impressed with the shampoo. Very Cherry foams like crazy, and it has lots of lubricity. Best of all it did not seem to weaken my wax protection one bit. So far I've washed my car three times with it, and its been a very enjoyable soap to use every time. I think it performs best at the recommended dilution of two ounces per gallon, but even at one ounce per gallon its still an awesome soap. Definitely cost effective, and worth the price.

Window Sheen is also a nice glass cleaner, it got the windows clean w/ no streaks. The fact that its a concentrate makes this product that much better. All in all, I'd have to say that Mark V makes some nice products, I look forward to trying out some more of their line.

I have to give a special thanks to RaiderBoy for the product recommendations!:thumb:

    Hmm...2 oz per gallon?

Assuming you fill up 4 gallons on a 5 gallon buck, that's 8 oz of product.

How much shampoo is there? 8 oz sounds quite a bit....

I don't see why you would fill up to 4 gallons. I filled up to three and had way too much soap left over when I tried using it at 2oz per gallon. I think next time I will fill up two gallons, if I'm right it should be enough to safely and effectively wash my car. I'm working with a smaller car (2010 Mitsu Lancer GTS) so it doesn't require too much soapy water to get it done, unlike say an SUV.

If I'm not mistaken, I ended up paying about 12 bucks for the gallon after taxes, so even at 2oz per gallon, it's still cost effective. My next wash I will be trying it at 1-1/2 oz, and see how it feels. 1oz per gallon is also great, but 2oz is a really awesome wash experience, lots of suds and incredible lubrication. And it doesn't strip your LSP.

I'm thinking of the Fallout remover and the Shampoo
