Friend of mine bought this car about a year ago (I actually flew down to FL and drove it back for him) and I don't think he's done much with it since he had it. It had no evidence of previous wax on it whatsoever. It felt rough too and needed a clay. Poor guy is in medical school and has no time for anything. So I took the car for a couple days and worked it into my schedule. Other than making a pretty good improvement on it I think, I'm ready to give this thing back and get my S2000 back. I can't stand getting in and out of it lol. Before shots start after the wheels had been cleaned and the car had been washed and clayed. I think I really brought the red pearl out in it. This was I guess considered a two step since I did Menzerna SIP and then Menzerna PL. Washing Before pics Here is a poor 50/50 of the roof after one pass Here are the afters. It was hard to get the sun back on it since it had gone behind some trees but I snapped some this morning in direct sunlight again as well. Now if you were paying attention you saw there is not an after for the headlights. I tried everything I had on those suckers and they would not budge. I don't know what will help it other than wet sanding possibly. Any ideas from those more experienced? Thanks for taking a look.
I would wetsand the headlights for sure! It is not at all a difficult task to do, takes just a few minutes and always is a killer to have a nice looking car and bad lenses! Just remember to coat them afterwards! I typically just spray paint them with a clear, then jewel that out, but if you have Opti-Coat, that may be a better option even. Otherwise, at the least make sure you keep a layer of wax or sealant on them at all times or they will haze bad, and fast!
