I added two layers of Souveran to my car, about 1 hour apart and I found that after the second layer it significantly muted the finish (decrease in reflection and depth). Wondering if this has happened to anyone before? :100post:

Muted the finish:yikes:... Set it out in the sun for a few hours, pull it in your garage wipe it back down with a QD and a clean MF. That should take care of it.

I like to let a nuba "set up" for 24 hours before applying a second coat just for that reason.
If souveran is let to sit for 24 hours a second coat does enhance the finish, a third coat does not help at all so I would stop at the second coat.

Awesome, thanks for the advise. Next time I will wait 24 hours.

Souveran is a great wax, but IME I always have had a hard time layering it.

It never really cures, just sits like a glaze.

That's the feeling I got after I layered it. I usually add only one coat, but I wanted to try layering it this time.
