I just wanted to share with you guys the excellent results I obtained from the newest product to my arsenal. Griot's Car Care Spray-On wax!

Ok, I tried this stuff a little over a year ago, and had no success with it. In fact the product tended to smear and leave behind tons of residue and would make black paint look terrible in sunlight from all the residue. So, I contacted Griot's Garage, and talked with a very nice representative there, Allen. We chatted recently about why the Spray-On Wax would perform so poorly, because it didn't make sense to me seeing as I've always been thoroughly satisfied with Griot's products. After talking with Allen, I realized spray-on wax is just what it claims to be and NOTHING more. This stuff is literally a liquidized spray bottle of carnauba and water and a little bit of other lubricating oils. NO SILICONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That being said, it makes sense that the car was covered in residue after applying a couple mists per panel...I was literally applying a coat of wax!! It also turns out the biggest problem was that I was using the 35oz bottle it came in with the huge diameter sprayer. This meant transferring a very high concentration of wax per spritz. This means I was applying tons of wax and trying to wipe it off quickly like a QD...Oh, NO! this stuff behaves very differently! You must treat this stuff gently! Well, so I decided to transfer the spray-on wax to an 8oz light spritz bottle, which worked miracles for the performance of this product. This meant I was transferring just the right concentration of carnauba per spritz to each panel, making wiping off the product much more pleasant. The biggest pleasure about working with spray-on wax though? This stuff made my paint look AMAZING! I've never been so impressed with a spray on product as I was with spray-on wax after I got the technique down. I was just looking at my car tonight after 2 days of driving, there is practically no dust on the paint and the paint looks as thought it did right after I washed and spray waxed it! This is a MUST buy for everyone on this forum, but make sure to get an 8 oz. light mist spritzer b/c the carnauba content in this stuff is high so too high of a concentration per panel (by using a heavy sprayer) would make it very hard to buff off the product. I also need to mention it seemed to really bring out the blue flake in my carbon black...man I'm going to stock up on this stuff! And it's really inexpensive too! only $13 for 35 oz.!!!!!! which sould last for a long time.
