Oh boy here we go again....well since Spyral was so kind to start this thread I really don't have a choice but post what happened, okay you drama lovers here we go.

Well Spyral sent me a PM asking if I knew that billyblooshoes details for a living? I said I did not but billyblooshoes clearly stated that he makes his living from detailing he says that here:

Well as you know the winner for the Monthly Competition is none other then billyblooshoes, again I did not know he detailed for a living and as you all know the monthly competition is strickly for what I call 'weekend warriors' basically those who detail for pure fun and pleasure and don't depend on their details to put food on table or as their main source of income.

I contact billyblooshoes asking for an explanation, he apologizes and explains him self I 'punish' him, basically saying that he will never again be eligible to enter any kind of Detailing Bliss contests/competitions billyblooshoes accepts and having said that I requested ken (911fanatic) to send billyblooshoes some goodies for winning the monthly competition, well I can only assume Ken has sent the items so I can't really take back the price winnings, luckily I haven't sent the Detailing Bliss t-shirt.

Any who before Spryral posted this thread I was going to post a new winner with out having to crucify billyblooshoes publicly, I brushed the matter off and went about my day.

Then I see this thread and Spyral sends me a PM and that brings us to now, now as I've mentioned, I run Detailing Bliss as I see fit anyone and I mean anyone here is more then welcome to question my judgement. All you have to do is send me a PM and like I have said before I have nothing to hide, so you ask and I'll answer honestly and sincere. I repeat you may not like how I respond or how I deal with things but I deal with matters as best as possible and as fair as possible.

So there you have it that's why Spyral has announce he's leaving the site because he feels that billyblooshoes has cheated the community and my self, well in a way he has but no big deal, he has been punished and a new winner will be announced, really a simple solution. Again all this was going to happen in the background, lots happens in the background by the way, but now it's out and publicly know, I personally have nothing against the public knowing and I'll share everything, like I said I have nothing to hide but drama is something I detest the most and I do my best to deal with most things in the back ground rather then crucifying/ridiculing members publicly.

Again and I repeat, I deal with things as I see fit and no one here will ever cheat me, well you may cheat me or walk all over me but I assure you loosing my trust, friendship and respect is much worse then me banning a member or publicly crucifying that particular individual. Again just how I choose to deal with things.

So there you have it, that's the whole drama :shrug:

Having said all that I'll take the opportunity to say that a new winner for the month of July will be chosen, let the voting begin again.

 

Wow...kind of elementary if you ask me. This is a forum open for anyone who wants to share their thoughts. Like Carlos said, we don't need drama. The situation was handled already, why leave Spyral. You helped me out with great trades, and I know you contribute. Why not rethink?

Well I dont think Billy was doing it maliciously and things have been taken care of. Sucks that this happened but it is taken care of and lets hope that Spyral decides to stick around and not leave.

 

stick around guys carlos handled it pretty good, no one was hurt and we can still have fun again.

^ Agree with what's above. Hope Spyral sticks around, as he's a valuable resource to the forum (and the forum's sponsors, LOL). At the same time, I've found Billyblooshoes to also be an excellent poster and very much willing to help out other detailers. FWIW, I'd also always thought of him as a "pro" detailer, given his forthright comments about the BMW dealership he used to work for.

FWIW, I'd been on the site for several months before I even knew what the "monthly comeptitions" were about - Nica does have a good explanation of how they work, but you kind-of need to do some DB search digging to find it (IMHO). My guess is that it was an honest mistake all around... is Spyral upset because he entered and came in second, or something?

Hope this can be amicably resolved with all parties involved... seems like a pretty minor thing, in the grand scheme of things, but maybe that's just me. :shrug:

Yea, I'll take blame for that. I've been working on revising the rules, just to avoid any confusions and for new members that join to look at one location and know what the monthly competition is all about. Perhaps this is a perfect opportunity to finalize the little details and post it and hopefully avoid any future confusions.

But as always when in doubt just send me a PM and I'll be more then happy to answer your question/concern.

maybe billyblooshoes will be extra-cool and send the prizes to the new winner... that.s not something one can force him to do, but it would be the right thing to do.

i honestly thought the monthly competition was for pros, not us weekend warriors. guess i totally misunderstood.

billyblooshoes is a good guy as far as i can tell. i doubt he tried to fly in under the radar as a ringer to take the competition.
