If it was a daily driver, Mazdaspeed 3.

If it was a sunny day/track day car, used porsche 911 or cayman.

I just recently did this a few months ago. 2002 Corvette Z06. It had 36k on it and i payed 21k. I couldnt be happier. By far the best bang for your buck when it comes to performance.

You should be able to pick up a '09 370Z base with low miles..

93 Civic Si for $1000. Turbo it, build motor, tune it, strip the interior, ~400-500hp, and just restore out the exterior to make it look factory, and just get some 14" TE37s :p

LOL, umm thats one thing I wanna do in my life... create a fun FWD car with some crazy boost (I wanna get that turbo lag then Vtec!) Call me crazy...

    Weekend fun?
Honda S2000, comptech supercharger or turbo kit?

BMW 335i close to 25k now
VW GTi (2010 model) + ecu tuning, exhaust (the basics)

I love how everybody is recommending cars that aren't listed and assuming the use for it. :applause2: You guys may have lost the point of the original post.

I agree to this post. Both cars have a great history behind them! I especially like how the E500 was created and would love to own one for a nostalgic feeling. E36 M3's are cheap these days and still perform great even with the US-spec motor. I'm way too partial to BMW's, even the clown shoe looking Z3M, and don't know enough about the Porsche's to make an unbiased decision. I bet all are great cars so just go with your heart (and possibly the best deal!).

    "What would you choose?"

IMO Phil was clearly asking what we would get if we had 25k to spend on a car. And he stated his ideas. Im pretty sure it was just to start a discussion to what 25k can get you :p

Sorry then. I completely misunderstood the post. I saw first person in the introductory sentence and then assumed that we had to choose from the list given.

I'd honestly spend the money on my supra but these would also be good choices:

    C5 Z06
mk4 Supra (although, probably won't get a nice one for 25k)

I would love me an E36 M3, too but for some reason I think of german cars as the "bad guys". can anybody explain this complex I have?

I think it might have something to with me believing they are expensive to maintain, and that most owners I've met have a less than favourable personality.... so even though there are some great cars that aren't japanese and american, the germans seem to have a steep mental hill to climb with me.

If it was me,: probably the car I have 2005 Sti.... well built, quick and still turns heads and with a few bucks can dominate alot of cars out there.

If this open to anything, I'd get a Mercedes 280SE for chilling and an mid 70's 911S and still have 5 grand left over.Win. That's how I'd blow 25k. Ok, maybe I would get a '95 M3 over the 911S, thank goodness I don't have to worry about it!
