You hit the nail on the head man. I just spent 10 days in Guatemala volunteering to help build a school and a medical clinic. Seeing these people who have nothing appreciate everything, it makes you take a step back and truly appreciate every little bit you have. :thumb:
Wash my car buy more detailing products clean the garage play Xbox drive around have sex... With my hand smoke a cig listen to music watch Top Gear and it's always sunny in Philadelphia
Maybe im a little different but when im stressed i have Oreos with my kiids. Nothing my satifying then seeing a big smile on my kids faces. Or we do some of their favorite songs. Either way im good afterwards. I dont stress often but it never stops me from the Oreos or the songs
when I stress, I gas...people that give me stress keep a distance from me. Few drinks usually will help you dealing with stress...
Things that work really well for me: Exercise, especially road biking on quiet rural roads or yoga. Free weights and mountain biking work too, just not quite as well for me. Meditation, nothing fancy just breath following or something similar (shamatha) Sleep, unless I'm too wound up to sleep Not quite as effective but enjoyable in their own right: Beer Listening to music (metal and rap/hip-hop not so much)
Thanks and that's awesome with your volunteering. One of my goals is to take a group of kids on my own funding and teach kids about the history of our nation. Kids are seriously lacking what I was taught in schools and therefore don't understand or appreciate or know what our country has been founded on. The generations to come should be educated better than us but infact it seems worst or about the same if they are in public schools
Agreed. I mean, I'm in college and besides the fact that I go to school on the "Jersey Shore", most of the kids here truly have no sense of appreciation. It's all about what you have materialistically. There were a few students on my trip with me that really needed an experience like that in more ways than one. It truly opened their eyes. Some experience education is necessary for sure.
Have an extremely busy/fast paced lifestyle with plenty of stress from work! Gym Sports - Men's/Coed Softball throughout the week, tennis, golf, disc golf, snowboarding (obv not in texas), Wash/detail online shopping watch sports play poker with buddies bar :420:
Ha ha.... I'm sure you ment to put :420: higher up the list. lol For me, playing/interacting with my 2 year old relieves some stress. He just learned the results of a good ol'fashioned finger pull. Yes, I'm well into my 30's and still giggle like a 2 year old when it comes to farts.... Hey, guess I found something else that relieves stress. lol
Bravo Sir!!! LMAO My life to a tee, sans the Xbox and cigar,I'll substitute in Skoal mint and more sex with hand. Sometimes I get the not now I have a headache thing. So I just say, screw you hand,Im gonna go buy more detailing stuff. Phil never says no to my credit card. LOL
Whatever is available from my filter searches, dont really have a favorite. Give me an invite and we can get on teamspeak on day.
I tend to put in a dip of Skoal Mint and then proceed to kick some butt on BF3. Btw, I'm on Xbox ....gamertag= xXDamnYnkeXx
