I have a client looking to purchase some products to do some correction work on his Skyline. I haven't worked on one so was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them.

The clear coats on Japanese cars can vary, but none will have rock-hard clear coat. Most will have a medium to soft clear. Hondas and Acuras for example have soft clear. Infinitis can be tricky with either sticky or medium/soft clear. My Nissan van, the clear is easy enough to work with.

If it's original paint then it's relatively soft clear, if it isn't a 1 stage metallic enamel. Imported cars tend to get beat up on the trip over,so it's very likely that it has been repainted. I know most of the RHD cars imported here are like that anyways. I was lucky enough that mine wasn't that bad.
