Hello All-- Need to place order asap for Menzerna products---Before sale is over!! If I purchase the Intense polish and the Nano polish--Will I have the proper cleaning tools to fix cleaning scratches on my 03 z4 BMW in Maldive Blue? I plan on using the nano 1st, if marks are gone, then move forward, if not then use the intense? Ist this a good combo for most of my polishing needs? What protectant should I top the Menzerna products with Zaino or somethingelse? Wolfgang? Sorrry, Last question what pads should I buy for the Nano, intense, and the final sealant??? Thanks folks! What machine are you going to use... and if your going to buy the sale... get all 4 of them and you won't ever have to buy anything else. Post up pics of you paint so that the proper pad suggestion can be made
Sip and 106FF or 85rd would be my choices for someone just starting out. Are you using a pc or rotary. As far as pads I like the 5.5 pads orange, white and blue. I would get atleast three per color. As far as lsp, I prefer a nuba, but have used Wolfgang sealant and like it, also alot of people like jetseal. AS for a last suggestion you can shoot Phil an e-mail or give him a call and he would probably set you up some sort of "kit" to get you going.
I agree, see if you can get all of them. BMW's don't have the softest clear coat to say the least. As far as protection I'm not much a sealant person but I've used wolfgang, Jetseal, DG..ect..ect..oh but I haven't used Zaino so I don't know much about them but any who the point is that you can't go wrong with any of them but that's just my opinion. I personaly prefer the carnauba look but it all comes down to personal taste, so if you like sealants stick to sealants. As far as pads go, so many to choose from. Meg's, Lake Country, Sounus..ect..ect...but it all depends on the type of machine your using. If it's a rotary, you can't go wrong with Meg's pads, Sonus pads are nice and Lake Country are reliable but I personaly have had great success with Meg's pads, I personaly don't use Lake Country pads too much either oh and Sonus pads are really nice, they work great. Uh, I'm still kind of a big fan of IP. The stuff just works every time I use it. Granted, it dusts a lot, but I used it on an '03 Jetta last weekend with my Flex 3401 and orangepad, and the trio seemed like they were made for each other. My Flex runs like a champ when rolling with IP. I will say that I've only used SIP once on an orange pad with Flex on an '08 Jag XKR Portfolio, and it did give me some hologramming problems. Maybe it was the weather or end user error, but it sure was a pain in the rear to use. Several other users on here have had great success with SIP though, so don't let me discourage you. I just think IP gets discounted too quickly sometimes. For moderate to heavy swirls, IP, orange, and 3401 are my go to combo right now.
I have Final polish, intensive polish and 106FA and i might order more tonight -Finishing Glaze PO 115C -Super Intensive Polish 32 oz (aka PO83 and PO85RD3.02) - and maybe Power Gloss Compound S34A 32 oz
Lake country CCS foam is superb with Menzerna, Edge foam is great on some paints and trash most of the time but I love their wool Don't like Meg's anything. The burgundy pad is too rough and yellow is too fine If you get PG, SIP (doesn't dust like 91L) and 106FA/FF and 85RD (less cut than 106), then your covered Pads - yellow, orange, white, black
