Where to begin, Its name is Scarlett. If you like red heads you will get the inference. The car has very low miles. Basically it was up to us to get her clean. The bumper had been re-sprayed. Then driven 40 miles to the customers house, where he found rotary burn and polish haze everywhere. Back up to the body shop to have it re-done. This time when he picked it up he asked them to do some touch up. He took delivery of the car. Straight to his house. He was waiting for the paint to cure for venture shield.
Well the touch up was poorly done, and He found about 60 rock chips on the front. Along with having the select areas re-polished for him. He spent the next few weeks working on it panel by panel getting everything as close to perfect as he could. Do to how fresh the paint was it was difficult to finish down.
This is when we received it. Knowing the owner really well is a huge plus. That being said He did the polishing and deserves all the accolades. We started by vacuuming and vapor steaming the interior. Then came the wheels, engine bay, boot, and inter carpet cleaning. Followed by the Leathers master 4 step processes.

The boot. Everything was removed that could be, cleaned, polished, conditioned, and replaced.

996 turbo twists. Yeah not stock. It is a long story. The dealership (non Porsche) refused to put the car purchase through till he returned the 993 turbo twists that were sold with the car. That is the difference? 996 TT wheels are significantly cheaper and prone to cracking.

The engine bay was sprayed down with Griots enzyme cleaner, agitated, rinsed, repeat. Sadly we did not have time for a more thorough cleaning like the owner would have preferred. IE disassemble, clean, replace, and reassemble. The griots step and product was an owner preference. I was quite surprised how well it worked.

Wheels after. The wheels were washed along with the fender liners and lowers of the car with amazing roll off. Not my favorite product, but the owner likes it. In this case it did do a superb job.

At this point all the rubber trim, plastic trim, bumperettes and other pieces of that nature were treated with 1z plastic. We then agitated them, wiped them clean and proceeded with the wash.

The wash consisted of adams car was with about 4 oz of 1z glanz wash mixed in. We then proceeded to wash the car as I normally do with my wool mitts.

The vehicle was then dried. It had been clayed a matter of days before using griot’s clay.

Onto the interior cleaning. The carpets and fabric were cleaned with bi-o-kleen traffic lane cleaner applied via spritzer, agitated and then hot water extracted. (while cleaning shots). At the same time I was doing the fabric, the owner was applying 1z cockpit premium to the vinyl surfaces in the car. He then cleaned the leather using LM strong cleaner. I then followed up with LM vital and protection cream.

And the polishing begins. 106ff was being a nasty bit of fun. Causing rotary burn and haze on a blue pad speed of 1000rpm. The owner switched to 3m ultrafine for a much easier, pleasant, and better looking finish. I believe 106 was acting up to the heat and humidity.

You can see here the first test panel of 106. It was difficult to wipe off to say the least. It was later finished out properly with 3m ultrafina.
