Domino hit the nail on the head there. The Fed continues to pump money into the economy which is decreasing the value of the dollar. As the value of the dollar goes down the price of oil goes up.

Exactly! But tree huggers and demon rats want everyone to think "green" and be vegeterian. Ef that...I'll keep my money, my freedom, and my guns. You keep the change...

Actually its not. The US, Mexico and Japan are the only countries that convert at 3.78. The rest of the world uses 4.54. :)

and Schwarzenegger hopped on the "green" bandwagon making it even more business unfriendly while the state of CA wallows in a $ 20 billion dollar deficit! What a disaster.

My last work van was a GMC Savana with 118L tank. Our gas hit $1.50L at its peak. Thats $177 to fill it. Every 4-5 days.

but that's because you have socialism - free healthcare, which we don't need, but the antichrist is pushing it, so every alcoholic will have heathcare for which a working man will be paying...

But what about the people who are just not able to afford healthcare, what about them? I agree, people who smoke and want us to pay for their cancer treatments can pound sand, but there are a lot of people who need it and just can't afford it. Like Canada, we give hundreds of millions in foreign aid, and we have people dying in our own back yard. Thats messed up.

Wow. It really is truly crazy to see how many of us are suffering. I know there are places in the mainland where gas is still I'm the high $3 range. Reading through this thread shed some light on a few different things.

Hopefully the u.s. gets their crap together soon. Here in Hawaii on the island of Maui gas is $4.99 for 87 octane. Not a pretty site.
