Updated 8-4-09 with packages shipped to littlemissGTO and pektel. Awaiting return PMs from Dust2Glory and svpro to arrange shipping and payment for the M105 (Dust2Glory) and the zymol Carbon (svpro). Meguiar's APC remains available; it weights five pounds though, so shipping may be expensive.

Updated 8-5-09: Dust2Glory decided not to buy the M105 v1.0, so it went to the next person in line, which was flash gordon.

Updated 8-6-09: removing Meg's APC from list. This weighs five pounds, and as a result, it's not cost effective to ship it to someone when they can just buy it from an online vendor instead. I'll use it until it's gone.

In an attempt to reduce some clutter, I've decided to put some of the detailing items I no longer use up for sale here on DB. Prices do not include shipping. Typically, I ship stuff through the UPS store via UPS ground. If interested parties have other shipping methods in mind that they prefer (or methods that are cheaper), let me know!

Anyway, here are pictures, and accompanying text describing the product, why I'm selling it, anything noteworthy about it, etc.

Meguiar's 105, original edition: SOLD

This is the "1.0" version, rather than the "2.0" version. A lot of folks really like 105; I don't care for it. So, I've abandoned this for Menzerna Power Gloss. This bottle is about 2/3 full; I measured it with a (clean) screwdriver like a dipstick, and marked the back of the bottle. The duct tape covers up a pinhole in the bottle; I was up on a ladder using this stuff, it fell, and the impact put a dent in the top right corner of the bottle. The hole is also covered up with some Gorilla Glue, under the tape. Finally, I wrapped the bottle with some Glad Press and Seal plastic wrap after taking these pictures.







Werkstat Carnauba Jett: TRADED

I know Ken (911fanatic) of Autowerkes Exclusive likes this stuff; I never figured out how to use it properly. It now sits unused, so may as well offer it for sale.





Zymol Carbon: PENDING

If I were to guess, this wax is at least two years old, maybe closer to three. It is kept in the refrigerator, per Zymol's directions. I used Carbon for many years, on many cars. It's the first "high end" wax I ever bought, and it's the wax that got me into "proper" detailing.

There is a crack, or a missing chip really, on the container. I store it with plastic wrap over the jar to keep air out. The plastic wrap is missing from the photos so I can better show the amount remaining.







Dodo Juice Rubbish Boy's Juiced Edition: SOLD (Link)

I like this wax. In fact, I like it a lot. Personally, I don't find it looks quite as stunning as Rubbish Boy's Original Edition, but it's certainly a great looking wax. Smells unbelievable too! It's also much less fussy to apply and remove than RBOE, just like Dodo Juice says it is. I just never use this stuff. Glass container. Autogeek sells this for $79.95, and their website says it's a 200ml jar. This jar says 250ml in the product description text on the back label.

These items are both packaged and will go out to their new owners as soon as I've got their mailing addresses. I just put 'em in the truck, so I know I'll have them.

(I know I said no trades, but he and I were talking about Surf City Beyond Black tire dressing over PMs separately, and a trade sort of worked out by accident through that conversation)

Priority Mail appears to cost about half what UPS costs - I never knew that. I guess I'll be using the postal service from now on.

Is the 105 taken?

 

Not as far as I can tell. It looks, smells, and behaves just like it always has. Zymol recommends keeping it refrigerated after opening, which I've done since I bought the stuff.

I know some folks have misgivings about using products that are as old as this one is, that's why I priced it cheap. Well, that and the chip in the container, which you should be able to see in the picture. The applicator that came with the Zymol is long gone, but it wasn't anything special anyway - just a foam applicator, blue in color rather than the more typical yellow.

Not officially gone yet, but some claims have been made to it, and out of courtesy, I feel it best if I let them get the first shot at it. Dust2Glory did express interest in it first, and said on page one of this thread that he wouldn't be back online until late tonight. If D2G passes, flash gordon said he wants it. Finally, Asphalt Rocket expressed interest in it through another user (AR is on a 10 day restriction at this time). So, not sold yet, but I'm trying to go in chronological order of the interest I've received.
