So I just got my truck back about two weeks ago from the body shop after a small fender bender which involved a college freshman deciding it would be cool to stop and text her friend in a yield when there was no buddy coming and no one around and didn't realize I was behind her. I ran into the back of her so it was my fault. LAST NIGHT I was pulling away from a stop light and see lights facing my left and quickly realized some nut is trying to pull an illegal U-turn over a double yellow line and he ends up clipping the side of my bed and bumper. Now I have to take my truck back to the body shop for more repairs. Terrible month for my truck and on top of that I want to sell it in January, good thing for insurance. I CANNOT wait to get a new car.
Yeah but he tried to claim that I was speeding, which was impossible I was 50 ft from the stop light. Luckily the cop saw past his BS. The kid was driving his roomate's brother's car and had no form of ID on him. Walked away with no ticket because there was no witness to his driving violation.
doh! that really sux. I cant believe the cop let him off. and he didnt even have his license with him. Did you get any of the kid's info? That should be a court hearing right there.
Wow Chas, I am sorry to hear this. You sure have had some bad luck when it has come to driving lately. With your new job you can get a new vehicle and start fresh.
