    Very nice!

Can anyone post up a pic of what they received please?

Hey Pete, were all of those shots just after IP and the orange LC pad or did you finish them down? Also, what RPMs were you doing? I've had nothing but less than optimal experiences with the Proline so I'm looking to what exactly I'm doing wrong. If I can't figure it out, I'll just put them up for sale.

Any input would be surely helpful! :)

All polishing was done with my Makita.

I found that IP did not like high rpm's. I didn't go more than a few clicks above 2 while correcting with it. I'm guessing it was somewhere in the 1000-1100 rpm range. Very rarely did I step up to 3, as it seemed to flash almost instantly. I also needed to change pads often. It also seemed that I had better luck by laying the bead on the paint instead of directly on the pad. If it dried out too soon, I used a really small spritz of CG polishing pad conditioner (i'd stop the machine, spritz the pad, then keep working. ) I actually like the CG pad conditioner. Don't know if a QD would do the same thing.

This was actually my very first rotary experience on vertical panels. Only that first 50/50 shot was after IP/orange. The before/afters were after IP/orange and refined with HGP with a little bit of final finish to lube it up better.

To me it seems that the 1Z proline would be very beneficial for PC correction, only because they don't like the higher speed/heat situations. I haven't tried them on a PC yet, because a rotary is just so much more smooth. My hands go numb after a couple hours with the PC's vibration.

As far as the speeds are concerned, I'm going from a not-so-good memory. Maybe I did step up to 3 more often. Whatever it was, it didn't take long to figure out the fastest I could turn it up to without it flashing on me.

    Thanks Pete.

For both Intensive Paste and especially High Gloss Polish, you need to alter your speed based on your applicator.

With foam pads, you want to stay in the 1000/1200 range. You have to take it slow or the polishes will flash.

With wool pads, you can go higher in the RPMs 1500-2000 range. I also recommend the purple foamed pad from lake country.

A spritz of a quick detailer or Spray Wax on the pad before the first application is a good way to prep the pad.
