Exterior textured black plastic?

Was not sure what catagory to ask this in...
What is everyone using to clean and protect textured black plastic on the outside of a vehicle?

 

A couple of products I like very much for exterior plastic are Gloss-it TRV, Poorboys Trim Restorer and as a last resort, Black Wow.

 

Poorboys has been one I wanted to try, I guess I will have to get some

 

Black WOW. Be sure to pre-clean surface with APC BEFORE applying Black WOW.

 

+1 for Black Wow.

 

I usually tru to clean external textured plastics with an APC and a brush first first if never dressed before by me then apply a dressing. Many dressings just really cover it up but the dirt is still there once the dressing wears off.

 

I know this is not the best of products probably to recommend for this, but I have been way more than happy with my Meguiars GC Trim Detailer...the black around the mirrors on my MK4 are still BLACK after about 5 weeks of being conditioned..and its inexpensive..

 

Thanks everyone for the input. I clean with APC I like to put some protection on there to help it from fading

 

If I don't have anything else, I'll just use a tire dressing. Stoner's More shine, SC BBTP. Otherwise I use Black Wow. Kind of messy though.

 

Poorboy's Trim Restorer is a nice product - the trim turns out great, it lasts a long time, and is more user friendly than Black Wow. I'm a big fan of 1Z Vinyl - Rubber Care as well.

 

GR-40 Trim Cleaner, followed by Hi-Temp's Bumper Renew has given me long lasting results. I have actually had a customer comment on how nicely his trim was looking months after I detailed it.

 

I was actually lookin at a few Hi Temp products, bumper renew and bahama mama

 

We are using Gtechniq C1 crystal laquer for those
1st coat we wipe on and buff in with a towel
the second coat we wipe on and leave for a glossier finish

we also use this on paint, interior leather and vinyl as a protective clear coat
