i try different waxes on my iphone like every 2 weeks since it gets touched out. right now it has pete's 53 on it lol
Actually, wax works great on the shower floor. It's the same reason surfers wax their boards, for traction. The water doesn't stick, but you do. I also detail my leather furniture with Zymol leather products. My favorite chair is so supple now it's awesome!
Just cleaned my wallet with some LM strong clean, vital, then some protection cream. Man was it dirty as anything! Just dont realize how dirty leather really is till you clean it and the towel starts turning brown/black.
It's good to see I'm not alone in this. I haven't tried my wallet yet..Hmmm..... I did do my checkbook though. Lol
I leather condition and clean my wallet, shoes and BB phone case. I also wax my Blackberry with the left over wax on my hands when I am done with cars. I wetsanded and polished out my PS3 las week. I also have never ending uses for SV Woodpolish. I have just realized I have serious problems.
I put a coat of Blackfire on my computers cpu cooler (since I can't do the RAV yet ) I also put some on the outside of the case too. Put some on the screen of my Imagio too. I also opened up the case took out six of the fans and cleaned all the dust & gunk off of them and wiped down as much of the interior as I could without removing the motherboard
cant believe no one has said this yet.......the ps3.....piano gloss and attracts finger prints like crazy.....tropi care sealant and oid but was using adams detail spray before...should be getting a pioneer elite av receiver and universal player soon that have the same finish.
Let me see...white running shoes tested with RG blue interior pad from Ken; white running shoes steamed; glass stove top compounded with various products; sinks done with Colli 845; shower is my current test bed for beta sealants...there's no better test IMO with the volume of water and soap and left wet; stainless sinks tried with P21 polishing soap and Colli Metal polish...I'm sure there's others.
I've done my typewriters. Actually only two of them, I waxed my 1958 Everest K2 just to see if it would make the paint (damaged in shipping, I got a great deal on it because of that though) look any better. And my 1935 Underwood 11. This machine belonged to my great grandmother, and was in the family store. I took apart as much as I could and cleaned it, before finally giving it a nice coat of wax. The Underwood is swirled and the clearcoat has failed in a few places, but then it is 75 years old. The worst thing was definitely getting the green tarnish off the metal around the keys, it took FOREVER. The Underwood, I spent hours taking this thing apart and cleaning it...works pretty well too!
We actually had a "DETAIL SOMETHING DIFFERENT" Contest over on the Adams Forum a while back... people really got creative. An espresso machine, purses, guitars, lego cars, all kinds of stuff. I also just started a thread over there the other day... I have my house on the market so during the super crazy cleanup to prep the house for show I was using all of my detail products in the house. Cleaned and conditioned leather furniture, glass cleaner and glass towels, detail spray on odds and ends, I even went so far as to bust out the PC and attack my fridge, stove, and microwave (all black) with stellar results.
^ x2, I have seen a bunch of threads like this on the interweb and this is probably one of the most unique and intriguing.
lol i did my sons guitar before i gave it to him for xmas a few years ago. just did my stainless steel fridge about a week ago. my wife was like wtf, why are you putting dressing on the rubber seals of the doors?? lol
