Everything is ok here. It's the first time I actually feel a quake. My dumb ass thought that it was a plane that was about to crash. I didn't know that earthquakes create noise. It sounded like a freight train/commercial airplane. I know 5.8 is nothing for West Coast members.
LOL I'm with you us eastcoasters don't have hardly any earth Quake experience.. I'm gald all is ok on the home front.
I just saw some pictures of the devastation and my heart goes out to all families affected: 20 Stunning Photos Of The Damage Caused By The East Coast Earthquake: Pics, Videos, Links, News
Im sure its nothing to you folks that have them daily! We are used to worrying about hurricanes on the east coast. Like the one headed our way now. We were all preparing for a hurricane, not and E-quake! So an earthquake of 5.8 is a pretty big, scary deal here. I didnt know what the hell was going on. It felt like a huge truck going by first, after a few seconds it got stronger and lasted about 20-25 seconds. It was just a weird feeling. Didnt really know what to do.
i was inside a vehicle detailing the interior and it felt like someone jumped on the back bumper and was rocking it back and forth...thoughit was just me causing the motion or a gust of wind. turned around and my van looked like someone was having a good time inside... customer moved from Louisiana to here in NJ couple years back and she came running out "does this happen here?!" hahahah
felt it in the dealership, everyone ran out and FB it. I called my family and friends but no one picked up, but they're safe!
