Actually more of a wash and wax not a full detail as this is the G/F's car and has is regularly maintained by...ME....:eyebrow:

    Wash:

Got the typical CG treatment of CWG and my foam cannon....and a bucket full of CWG and my Home Depot Grout sponge....no pics as FMINUS has done this plenty of times and I'm sure everyone knows what it looks like by now :deadhorse:

    Clay:

No need for clay the paint was still in good condition from a couple weeks ago...I did hit a couple spots with tarminator though

    Engine:

Cleaned using CG Carpet Cleaner...yes I said Carpet Cleaner...its a non sodium hydroxide based cleaner so it's safe on the uncoated aluminum parts and is loaded with surfactants and degreasers...Sprayed down with CD-2 Engine Dressing

    Wheels:

I gave a teaser pic earlier of something that I converted for use as my new wheel cleaning "stick" and after using it about 6-7 times now I am quite happy with it...wheels were sprayed down with CG Citrus Based Wheel Cleaner, tires got a spray down with CG Total Interior/Exterior Cleaner...brown sludge started melting off the tires even though they looked fairly clean..faces of the wheels were washed using a wheel shmitt and the last of my wash water...tires were dressed with CG VRP (by far my fav wheel dressing)...wheels were Jetsealed....

    Glass:

Sprayway glass cleaner and Walmart waffle weave dish towel..another great OTC find

    Interior:

Just done a week ago and other than shoes/umbrellas/8 billion bottles of perfumey lotions/and other girly items...the actual interior carpet and dash were still clean and showing a nice shine from Silk Shine dressing from the previous week

    Paint:

I dusted off a bottle of NTS7 Wax/Sealant...nice citrus smell that I forgot it had...left the paint slick...and like a review I wrote about it a while back on AG it is VERY shiny...looked good on the metallic silver...got a final wipedown with CG Synthetic Quick Detailer

    PICS!!!!

Not a lot of befores as the car was just dirty with an even film of "stuff" from the recent rains we had here in Socal...the wheels were the worst part...gotta love OEM honda pads...

    Wheels Before:

Wheel stick in action..thin enough to reach between the caliper and wheel
    [IMG]

Whats nice about the wheel stick is you can "saw" back and forth with it or sweep side to side to get the inner drum of the wheel clean and best part is it doesn't "spit" back at you and fling dirty wheel cleaner like the EZ wheel brush or New England Brushes...

I also like that it comes to a point at the end that is covered in the synthetic fibers so you can dig into the corners that wheel brushes have a harder time dealing with as you tend to push out all the bristles and warp them...

Pic of the tire sprayed down with CG Total Interior/Exterior cleaner...haven't even scrubbed and didn't need to..the Karcher easily blasted off all the tire grime...(the wheel faces get scrubbed down with the last of my wash water and a wheel shmitt...and the karcher blasts off most of the wheel face stuff anyway...)

    The finished product....

The Engine (still was wet as I didn't fire the engine up yet to bake in the CD2_

Full Shot: (you can see my ride in the back...just got freshly jetsealed...:woot:)

as far as CD2 is concerned a lot of the Autozones are stocking it again on a regular basis...just look by the GUNK engine cleaners and dressings usually by the carb/choke/brake cleaners as well...otherwise ANY autozone will order it for you...

    Very nice work!

So you used CG Total Interior Cleaner for the tires? Is that safe if it touches the wheels?
