Does anyone else do the jambs like that? I never spray the hose with the doors open.

Nice car though.

 

I think like 0.0001% of the population knows what detailing actually is. This guy's been in the business for 15 years and he doesn't even know.

 

THAT, was a horror show. It's really sad to see people like this call themselves professionals...

 

I spray the jambs like that.

 

thats like when I priced a job for a guy, then he said my price was too high and that he had someone do it for around 100 bucks and thought the car looked "ridiculous" as he sayed it.

Then I showed him all the swirls in the car with my light, and he sayed "You can't see those marks unless you put it under intense light liek that" to which I replied, "yeah, like...the sun..."

Ahh never gets old!

 

Not EXACTLY like that, right? I use my Pwasher to rinse jambs and I don't get water inside. DID YOU SEE HOW MUCH WATER WENT IN THAT TRUNK!!!!!! Good God!:shakehead:

 

I've had so many of my non-detailing friends show me that video..."Karl, you've got to see this, you'll think this guy's a nutjob!"

 

Yeah that guy is just totally uneducated about proper procedures and methods. He needs to join DB and ask A LOT of questions. I could not believe how much water went into the trunk. opcorn:

man i cant even imagine using 409 for tires let alone paint!! sad part is the dealer actually lent him a bently to do that to! i bet they think it came out great!

 

Did I miss something? This guys seems legit, just because he doesnt use P21s TAW to clean door jambs doesnt make him a hack :shrug:








Oh wait he is a hack who just doesnt know jack-ish about PROPER car care.

This numnuts and the boys over at Expertvillage on youtube really give some bad advice to prospective detailers who are out there learning the trade.:dupe:

 

True, those expert village videos are disappointing and entertaining at the same time. It's like they just found some random douchebag and told him to pretend he knows what he's talking about.

I love how every time he does something he says it looks like a new vehicle even though it clearly doesn't. And he puts all the towels and brushes on the driveway!!

How to Wax a Car - MonkeySee

He went from a cleaner wax to remove the dirt....then a polish wax. oke:

That rag he used to spread the wax was an old bathroom towel. I wouldn't have used that on the tires, let alone the paint!

This guy should be smacked upside the head for calling himself a pro.

 

yeah pretty funny. but sad..heavy duty black nylon gloves are no bueno..

a dirty bucket that looks like it has been soaked in motor oil and dirt for 20 years is not good.

spraying water in the trunk and sealing it shut for mold to grow on a 160k car.... priceless

 

No, I don't rinse my jambs using the same technique demonstrated in the video. I use a pressure washer to carefully rinse jambs. The individual I was responding to in my previous post said he never sprayed a vehicle with the doors open and was asking if anyone else rinsed their jambs like that. I should have clarified; thanks 911Fanatic.
